It’s Not About Perfect, It’s about Effort!!

Today I’m writing about making decisions. I attended an evening run by some German Trainers I did some of the most advanced training I have done in my life. We played the Possibility labyrinth game where there were only two instructions, beep if you took an incorrect path and go if you did not meaning you got to have another chance to move forward. There was no marking and sometime the next step was outside the marked areas making it a very challenging game.

We also got to look at a difficult decision we wished to make in our lives and listen to our bodies contemplating a yes or no answer and take a step towards the answer it provided. I chose the opposite answer to the one my mind had been telling me. I felt clarity about it after doing this where before I had been living out of my expectations of what I hoped would happen.

So what has society written about making hard decisions over the centuries? Let’s take a walk down that pathway:

mahd1

1. Don’t regret asking that person out, or moving continents.

mahd2

2. Each decision you make could change the direction of your journey quite dramatically. Do not worry, you are on the right path, it’s your path: Don’t Stop Believing.

mahd3

3. That old Gut Feeling, It knows what’s best for you.

mahd4

4. One foot in the front of the other, or jump and learn to fly on the way down. Either way, something will happen: Fight Song.

mahd5

5. And sometimes they don’t end up with the same result.

mahd6

6. All those what if, it won’t work out thoughts, that just you mulling it over. Underneath it all, you already know if the answer is Yes or No: Dear Anxiety.

mahd7

7. So, where do you want to be, time to decide.

mahd8

8. How close do you get to a million before you have the courage to leap: Unstoppable.

mahd9

9. In the background you already knew it was time, didn’t you?

mahd10

10. Nicholas Sparks decided to start writing based on a simple remark from his mother when he was 19 years old that introduced him to the possibility:

‘”Your problem is that you’re bored. You need to find something to do…” Then she looked at me and said the words that would eventually change my life: “Write a book.” Until that moment, I had never considered writing. Granted, I read all the time, but actually sitting down and coming up with a story on my own? …I was nineteen years old and had become an accidental author: A Thousand Years.

mahd11

11. Very surreal, this quote, what does it mean?

mahd12

12. Breath in, Breath Out, and Decide. It sounds simple enough but at times is far from that: Take My Breath Away.

mahd13

13. One of the biggest decisions we make in our life. The one to partner someone through life.

mahd14

14. It’s like walking through the deep jungle, sometimes the path does not appear to be there, yet the indigenous people have moved through it for centuries: Follow Your Arrow.

mahd15

15. And for the final lesson of the day, decisions are a lot harder when these things are in play.

The decision was over whether to ask a woman I had met recently out. The circumstances do not allow for it at the moment. With the new space the clarity of making this decision has created, who knows what may happen.

A few pop divas in the playlist today, and some Country and Western. A rock anthem from Journey leads off, Then the first pop diva Rachel Platten. A spoken word piece then Camila Mora and Christina Perri. Another blast from the past with Berlin and we finish with some C & W from Kacey Musgraves: It’s Not About Perfect, It’s About Effort.

As you are making these hard decisions in your life remember, Love and Respect for All, Everybody Included. Peace Out until next time we meet, my dear friends.

I Decide My Vibe!!

What am I feeling today, a little bit of fear as to what it will take me to break through my always knowing about how to perform in a relationship and ask my new friend if it can be more than a friendship, we can all relate to the just friends scenario, it has devastated me at different times in my life.

I feel something in my heart that has not been there for a long time, yet I feel almost frozen to do anything about it. It’s a, we work together situation and is it politically correct in these days of  #metoo to pursue it further. Fuck, it hurts my heart.

So, what have we, as a community said about moving to the next level in relationships, let’s open our hearts up and find out:

level1

1. So true, being numb and frozen clearly does not work.

level2

2. Which floor do you require? My lift operator in my heart to self: Level Up.

level3

3. The exact advice my friend Phoenix gave me in an Expand The Box exercise we were in last night when I tried to find the answer in my head, not my heart.

level4

4. Focus on what’s in your heart, not your head: Listen to Your Heart.

level5

5. Are you an Id flyer?

level6

6. Oops, this gets in: Same Old Shit.

level7

7. This will help break through the numbness.

level8

8. Shag pile carpet or facing reality, choose: Uncomfortable

level9.jpeg

9. Is that a goddess picture, maybe?

level10

10. How do you get from point A to point B: More Than Friends.

level11

11. Another way of saying what Phoenix pointed out that I needed to do for it to have any chance.

level12

12. I believe in the starseed theory, that the universe is listening to our spoken and unspoken requests and tries to answer them: Across The Universe.

level13

13. I’m sure my millennial nephews would understand what he is saying, I’m not so sure.

level14

14. Language, it can make you quite sad at times: Computer Games.

level15

15. And for our final lesson, Rod, fucking remember this and get out of your head.

When you are not researching possibility as your source but entering the world of feelings I notice that my blogs have become much shorter. How many words do I have blocked in the frozen parts of my body, we shall see over time.

The Playlist has a classic death metal fuck you track amongst it today. We begin with Ciara, travel back to Roxette. Cross the political correct boundary with Macz, then rock out with Halestorm. Jason Mraz and Meghan Trainor ask each other a relationship question. Rufus Wainwright redefines a Beatles song and we finish with an Oz classic from Mi-Sex: I Decide My Vibe.

Relationships must come from Love and Respect for All, Everyone Included, Peace out to next time, my dear friends.

I’m a Good Enough Person to Forgive You, But?

Two weeks ago I did a course called Awakening Women for Men led by three of my friends, Alley, Shaney and Jared, for some reason I like befriending the leaders more than the participants. An exciting occurrence after having done this course my other women friends are very interested in what were we taught, something like, did they give our secrets away.

I shared in a non-revealing way one of the processes called opening the veil and that women like men being in control in certain situations that invoke the mature masculine in men. One of my friends who asked is my acupuncturist and as I lay there with my needles on board this came to me:

Say I had walked in the door and our eyes crossed, and I said beautiful one, I want to go out with you, by the way, I recently broke up with Julie a month ago. I would know when I am projecting Julie onto you when I am actually with you, It would give us a chance to create something new and magical, my friend shuddered.

Move on ten days, The woman who I did my first ever retreat with was in town, Tanishka Tantrika. It was back in December 2013 and called Rainbow Bridge 13:13:13. It’s another story how I got there but I gave up my what is this woo woo and trusted my friend who recommended I go. Tanishka was running a Sacred Union ritual with her new partner to heal the break between the divine masculine and divine feminine. The closing circle where 19 men and 19 women stated how they had betrayed the union between the two and the ceremony of forgiveness by washing them away while chanting I’m Sorry, Please Forgive Me, Thank You, I love You, an ancient Hawaiin chant will remain in my heart for the rest of my life.

So, how do we restore trust and what have we written about it over the centuries: let’s party.

trusst1

1. It’s the actions that buy back the trust. Having sold 10 million books on the subject, Dr Clouds actions lie in homelessness in the inner city, as well as missions in the developing world.

trusst2

2. I think my friends name for working with Anger: Reclaiming Anger speaks volumes as to who the person suffering is: Hold On I’m Coming.

trusst3

3. From the worlds greatest quote writer, Ms Unknown, this one bites home.

trusst4

4. How many times have you broken this trust in your life, you may even do it to yourself: Trust.

trusst5

5. Heartbreak Hotel came to my mind, not a song track though.

trusst6

6. You will be able to fire your Fortune Teller: Fortune Teller.

trusst7

7. A vital part of the recipe.

trusst8

8. Trust trumps Love: does it in your life: Nothing Else Matters.

trusst9.jpeg

9. Shadow and Light, they travel together.

trusst10

10. Hate is the most dangerous form of Anger, it belittles our soul so much, but at times the last line speaks volumes: Part of Me.

trusst11

11. One for the inner work.

trusst12.jpeg

12. What you serve up in life, that’s how much you are capable of receiving back: When You’re Gone.

trusst13

13. I have a friend who did not speak to her parents for 13 years when she forgave them and reconnected they did not even remember the incident, please do not do this to yourself.

trusst14

14. Three letters. MLK: New Attitude.

trusst15

15. And the reason I chose this for our final lesson, I so love the image.

According to Nietzsche, to wish away our past is to wish ourselves out of existence. It’s nearly impossible to steer our lives in a particular direction until we come to terms with our past. Each significant event in our lives changes how we view the world and ourselves. The thought of reviewing our entire past is often overwhelming. But it an essential part of the process. Our past is a blessing that guides and teaches, and it carries as many positives as negatives. Will I be able to not project as much, we shall see, but it feels fucking magnificent.

The playlist goes nearly as far back as my year of birth, 1954. We begin with Sam and Dave, move forward to Christina Perri. Bounce back with early Rolling Stones, then rock it out with Metallica. Three superb women finish it off, all from different eras, Kate Perry, Avril Lavigne and to finish Patti Labelle: I’m a Good Enough Person to Forgive You, But.

So we will finish with the ho’oponopono mantra to presence Love and Respect For All, Everybody Included. Until next time, my dear friends.

Not on my watch, Anymore!!

I wrote the following in my Facebook news feed two days after New Zealand:

I am sitting in Preston Town Hall at the Multicultural fair, cultural diversity Festival 2019. There are hijab’s and henna painted hands everywhere, so many different cultures. Firstly I went to the Preston Mosque, ironically the day after NZ they had already invited their neighbours so they could meet and enjoy a meal together. I was privileged to hear the Imaan give his welcome speech and his communities comment on NZ. I firstly had spent an hour having my hand shaken by both Muslim men and women thanking me for being there, I did not know if it is cool to walk around a mosque with tears flowing from your eyes so I sort of controlled it. The Imaan spoke of common humanity, then of a noble death, where you are looked after in the afterlife. He quoted the Koran where it says if you kill an innocent human being you kill the spirit of the human race. I made a promise to myself at that moment I will do everything in my power that this will never happen again on my watch.

I picked up my friend and extraordinary poet Ari Amal’s beautiful tome: The Details and the Infinite when I got home and opened it to the following poem, it spoke to my heart, here is her webpage link: Find out about Ari.

May All The Blossoms Within You Unfurl

It only takes one brave bud

To start a revolution

So to the buds in you that are yearning to burst open

These words are for you:

Darling ones

Spring has come

It is time to become

All that you are

So lift your face to the sun

& laugh with the sky

For even your fragrance is a Gift

To those who happen by

It only takes one brave bud

To start a revolution

So tell me,

Who amongst you will inspire

the Fiesta?

I don’t think the human being who committed the heinous act in Christchurch had read it, who amongst us will do what it takes to transform the world into the majestic place it could be. What have we written about it, let’s take a look:

rev1

1. One of the bravest acts a human being , can commit in their lifetime, be themselves in the face of the crap society throws at them not to be.

rev2

2. Can’t read their name, but I have enjoyed the revolution, my artistic friends have created for the past 45 years: Art for Art’s Sake.

rev3

3. “Nisker’s book (Essential Crazy Wisdom) is twenty-three times more liberating than the Bible, the Torah, and the Koran combined. It may be crazy to say such a thing but it is also wise.”  — Tom Robbins, author.

rev4

4. From the Black Panthers, if you don’t know who they are, google it. It’s not about the people, it’s about their stand: The Revolution Will Not Be Televised.

rev5

5. Begin one today.

rev6

6. No Isaac Newton here, grow some: Formation.

rev7

7. Donald Trump, Scott Morrison and other far-right world leaders, Jacinda and us mob, we are coming for you.

rev8

8. Dorothy got this answer to a question, I don’t accept it: Que Sera Sera.

rev9

9. A revolution of desire has given us today’s world, pick again.

rev10

10. Will it be yours, what area in your life will it be: Stir It Up.

rev11

11. He, Joseph Stalin may have got carried away with his zeal but I get his point, just don’t go over the top like Uncle Joe did.

rev12

12. When I read George’s books, I decided Tyrion Lannister was one of the great characters in literature. Not just fantasy literature – literature! A brilliant, caustic, horny, drunken, self-flagellating mess of a man. And there was only one choice to play him.”: Never Forget You.

rev13

13. And, Go!!

rev14

14. If you are decluttering your house to do this, stop it: Smooth Operator.

rev15

15. And finally to my Mojo crew, Awakening Women for Men brothers, Warrior of Love travellers, Dancing Eros sisters in male bodies, Expand the Box and Possibility Lab cronies, my ISTA family and my siblings Hugo, Ruthie and Jann, two words, Fuck Yes!!

I think writing this has helped the sadness I feel in my gut for what happened in New Zealand, time to grow some and go.

I like today’s playlist, it has some of music’s icons and one of my favourite spoken word jazz tracks: 10cc with a classic head it off, Gill Scott-Heron then some diva pop from Beyonce. Then we go way back to Dorothy Day. The certified legend Bob Marley follows, next is new to me but not ten million people, The Noisettes, and we finish with the always sensual Sade: Not on my Watch, Anymore.

Do I really have to say it, We need Love and Respect for All, Everybody Included or we all may not wake up one day because we thought everything was OK and someone will prove that wasn’t true in an ultimate way.

Drop the last year into the limbo of the Past!!

Fast forward to December 2019. You’re sitting at home pondering the year that’s been…What’s next? My friend Emeli and her crew wrote this as a sub-heading under 2019, ideal vision in Lifebook 2019 On Purpose: Get in Contact.

Em asks 8 questions, they are as follows:

  1. Who are You? What have you achieved? Where do you want to be?
  2. List the top three reasons you want this vision.
  3. Who do you want to be in 2019? List three small actions you can take to make a big change.
  4. What advice would you give to yourself in a year’s time?
  5. What books do you want to have read?
  6. What places do you want to have travelled to?
  7. What hobbies will you have started?
  8. Who would you have kissed more? Hugged more? Made, deep, deep love to?

So, if you are deeply ensconced in your humanity, you will have up and down periods over the year, so what are some of the favourite quotes about the year that was, let’s take a stroll down that lane:

tythb1

1.  Andriy Shevchenko is a soccer player and politician who made Champions League history; on 23 November 2005, he scored all four goals in Milan’s 4–0 group stage drubbing of Fenerbahçe, becoming only the fifth player to accomplish this feat; his company includes Marco van Basten, Simone Inzaghi, Dado Pršo and Ruud van Nistelrooy (while Lionel Messi joined that group in the 2009–10 season and Robert Lewandowski in 2012–13), and the only one to have done it in an away game.

tythb2

2. By the worlds most prolific quote writer, Ms Unknown, the world gets you: Golden Years.

tythb3

3. Don’t forget to include the fun factor as well as the hard work during 2019.

tythb4

4. Two words: Simon & Garfunkel: Frank Lloyd Wright

tythb5

5. Each of us reaches this revelation at different stages in our lives, will you do it in 2019?

tythb6

6. And some of it you dread and other bits you say Fuck, Yes too: After All These Years.

tythb7

7. For the sisters.

tythb8

8. René Karl Wilhelm Johann Josef Maria Rilke, better known as Rainer Maria Rilke, was a Bohemian-Austrian poet and novelist. He is “widely recognized as one of the most lyrically intense German-language poets. Obviously, Maria must have been a strong family name to be chosen to keep: Best thing I never Had.

tythb9

9. One of the shortest professional tennis players ever, Michael’s Chinese name (simplified Chinese: 张德培; traditional Chinese: 張德培; pinyin: Zhāng Dépéi) was chosen by Joe, his father and his English name by Betty, his mother (who named him after her father).

tythb10

10 Hurts so bad but living so good, great line: Hurt So Bad.

tythb11

11. Can you genuinely say this?

tythb12

12. Thirty, the new …..?: The Prime Time of Your Life.

tythb13

13, Just, because I can.

tythb14

14. Will it fill up your 1,000-litre cup: A Thousand Years.

tythb15

15. And the final message is for my beloved Warriors of Love.

Emeli also stated: that we can spend all day making lists of the external ‘stuff’ we want like clothes, cars etc. But what really drives us. I will leave you with that question to ponder over the months of 2019.

Last century songs outnumber the 2000’s in tonight’s playlist. We begin with David Bowie, then further back to Simon and Garfunkel. Some rock from Journey follows, then we move forward to Beyonce. Another oldie from Linda Rondstat, then we finish with two tunes written after the 2YK crisis by Daft Punk and Christina Perri: Drop the Last Year into the limbo of the Past.

So I have a request, in 2019 spread the ethos of Love and Respect for All, Everybody Included amongst your communities, workplaces, families and love relationships.

Be your own self, Love what you Love.

You are powerful when you believe in yourself – when you know that you are capable of anything you put your mind to. You are beautiful when your strength and determination shines as you follow your own path – when you aren’t dishevelled by the obstacles along the way. You are unstoppable when you let your mistakes educate you, as your confidence builds from experiences – when you know you can fall down, pick yourself up, and move forward.

These inspiring words are from Marc Chernoff, he also provides 11 ways to become this person:

  1. Stop judging, and appreciate the beauty within you.
  2. Treat yourself the way you want others to treat you.
  3. Care less about who you are to others.
  4. Know your worth.
  5. Don’t rush intimate relationships.
  6. Let go of those who aren’t really there.
  7. Forgive yourself and others.
  8. Focus on the Positive.
  9. Believe in the person you are capable of being.
  10. Work on Goals you believe in.
  11. Keep working and looking straight forward.

This chapter is entitled 11 ways to become the person you love, so lets have a look at what society has said about being the person you love:

pyl1

1. Amazing work! Kaci Diane has found a way to capture her raw emotions in a way that allows the reader to join her on a journey of hopes, dreams, ups and downs. You feel the highs and lows of each poem as Kaci gives you a glimpse into her heart and soul.”

pyl2

2. Feel that yearning deep in your soul: Yearning for Your Love.

pyl3.jpeg

3. I’m sure when we pop out that this is in place.

pyl4.jpeg

4. A million dollars worth: Who Says.

pyl5

5. A classic from the world’s great philosopher, Ms Unknown.

pyl6

6. Unrecognisable is the word that comes to mind for me: I Gotta Feeling.

pyl7

7. And your answer is?

pyl8

8.  Lalah hangs out in Mind, body, spirit, and life; wellness, wholeness, empowerment, and transformation, through Vibrational-based living, vibrating higher daily: Change Your Life.

pyl9

9. They travel everywhere together.

pyl10

10. The good things at both ends, changes the meaning of the classic burning at both ends analogy doesn’t it: Somewhere over the Rainbow.

pyl11

11. Seven Billion No one is You’s, amazing. Go and fly.

pyl12

12. When self-obsession becomes a powerful tool in your armoury: Love Me.

pyl13

13. Out, damn thought – William Shakespeare, well, nearly.

pyl14

14. Bravery and Brene Brown, touche: Shame is Lethal.

pyl15.jpeg

15. Bette Midler!!

In the end, loving yourself os about enjoying your life, trusting your own feeling. taking chances, losing and finding happiness, cherishing the memories, and learning from the past. Sometimes you have to stop worrying, wondering, and doubting. Have faith that things will work out maybe not exactly how you planned, but just how it’s meant to be.

Today’s playlist is crowded with pop divas and some worldly advice. We begin with ex-members of the Gap Band, Charles Wilson and Tyrese, then our first diva Selena Gomez. The Black Eyed Peas appear before divas Iggy Azalea, Ariana Grande and Kate Perry. We finish with the wisdom of Brene Brown: Be your own self, Love what you Love.

Becoming the person you love allows you to love others: Love and Respect for All, Everybody Included, I look forward to seeing you again next time we meet, my dear friends.

You don’t always need a Plan!!

There are times in our life when we need to be motivated, here are some reminders from Marc Chernoff, author of the great book, Getting Back to Happy with his partner, Angel: Here’s the link.

1. You can press forward long after you can’t. It’s just a matter of wanting it bad enough.

2. Crying doesn’t indicate that you’re weak. Since birth, it has always been a sign that you’re alive and full of potential.

3. Give up worrying what others think of you. What they think isn’t important. What is important is how you feel about yourself.

4. If you awake every morning with the thought that something wonderful will happen in your life today and you pay close attention, you’ll often find you’re right.

5. You never know how strong you really are until being strong is the only choice you have.

6. A problem is a chance for you to learn.

7. You must see things how they are instead of how you hoped, wished or expected them to be.

8. Grudges are a waste of perfect happiness. Let it Go.

9. Tough times never last, but tough people do.

10. Not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.

11. Giving up doesn’t always mean you’re weak, sometimes it means you are strong enough and smart enough to let go.

12. Mistakes teach you important lessons. Every time you make one, you’re one step closer to your goal. The only mistake that can truly hurt you is choosing to do nothing simply because you’re too scared to make a mistake.

13. If it’s out of your control why fret about it? Concentrating on things you can control is how you make good things happen.

14. If you keep doing what you’re doing, you’ll keep getting what you’re getting.

15. Don’t pray when it rains if you don’t pray when the sun shines.

What has the world said over time to motivate itself, here are a few of my favourites:

mot1

1. The old imagine they are naked public speaking trick reversed because this time you are.

mot2

2. You come to that twin fork in the road, take the road less travelled: Hit the road, Jack.

mot3

3. If you are going to the gym to find it, turn around, it’s inside you, not in the weight room.

mot4

4. The comfort zone is the home of the lounge lizard, not Nobel prize winners: Out of Tower Song.

mot5

5. What did you discover after your worst fall?

mot6

6. Treat people how you wish them to treat you: Treat me like Somebody.

mot7

7. Live out your dreams, they are worth it.

mot8

8. One foot in front of each other still means you are on the path of fulfilling your dreams: One Foot.

moy9

9. Plan it, then allow for the time it will take.

mot10

10. John Michael Green is an American author, vlogger, producer, and educator. He won the 2006 Printz Award for his debut novel, Looking for Alaska, and his fourth solo novel, The Fault in Our Stars, debuted at number one on The New York Times Best Seller list in January 2012. The 2014 film adaptation opened at number one at the box office. In 2014, Green was included in Time magazine’s list of The 100 Most Influential People in the World. Another film based on a Green novel, Paper Towns, was released on July 24, 2015: It Hurts.

mot11

11. Jim Rohn points out sometimes we may have simply chosen the wrong path.

mot12

12. Just, because: Black Coffee.

mot13

13. Motivation 101.

mot14

14.  Makes me think of William Wallace and his wee band of men: Freedom Speech.

mot15

15. You can make an excuse and not do what it will take or you can travel forward towards what your dreams in life are.

So a few questions: What stands between you and happiness, Are you holding on to something you need to let go, What is the biggest challenge you face right now and finally, If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently.

The playlist today begins with Ray Charles as we hit the road, then we continue to the musical Tangled. Three newbies to me follow: Tink, Walk the Moon and Emeli Sande. Then the sultry Peggy Lee and we end with Mel Gibson aka William Wallace: You don’t always need a Plan.

To live my life from Love and Respect for All, Everyone Included does not always need a plan, just a way of being. Until we meet again my dear friends, let’s live a motivated life.

I Woke Up, I Have Clothes To Wear!!

One of my friend’s Passions is turning One, Nicole Gibson’s movement Love out Loud turned One yesterday, and she is offering all of her products at half price on the world’s special day for love, Valentines Day: Nicoles Offer.

Nicole has written a beautiful book called a matter of factly Love Out Loud so in honour of this special day I picked up the book and opened it to a page, so today we will be looking at the value of gratitude, Chapter 8 for when you buy this excellent book. Nicole states that “A big part of creating a gratitude practice for yourself is the understanding that gratitude is about honouring what has been normalised in your life, so that it may be sustained. “

I am also a big fan of Danielle LaPorte’s Daily Planner which has you write one thing you are grateful for each morning. So what has the world had to say about being grateful as it travels along the timeline, here are a few of my favourites:

grat1.jpeg

1. Many song titles amongst this little gem.

grate2

2. Happy Birthday, Nicole, let’s Love Out Loud: Happy Birthday, Mr President.

grate3

3. Perfectionism, otherwise known as the booby prize when it comes to commencing fulfilling your dreams.

grate4.jpeg

4. I live in Australia, that puts me in the top one per cent of the planet for privileges, for that, I will be eternally grateful: Dirty Laundry.

grate5.jpeg

5. There are times that I haven’t found it easy to think this, but with the journey comes the shadow and the light.

grate6

6. What colour is your favourite cup, mine is sky blue: Running on Empty.

grate7

7. I like the theory we are all starseed, it makes it so much easier to love everything and everybody out loud.

grate8.jpeg

8. As you walk out your front door be very grateful, not everyone gets to do this: Home.

grate9

9. The past has gone, the future is yet to occur, all we have is Today.

grate11

10. Yes, You and You and You: Thank You For The Music.

grate12

11. We have the choice to begin anew each and every moment, although some days it may feel impossible.

grate13.jpeg

12. Big Tony has his say: Diva.

grate14

13, Jessye is recognised as one of the worlds great Mezzo Soprano’s, daughter of an Insurance Salesman and a school teacher, she discovered opera after her parents gave her a radio on her 9th birthday opening her horizons, where she discovered the world of opera, that she Loved Out Loud.

grate15.jpeg

14. It’s such a perfect day, I’m glad I spent it with You: Perfect Day.

grate16.jpeg

15. And for our final lesson, we hear from Marilyn’s birthday boy.

So back to Nicole to finish off:

Gratitude is a Practice.

For something to become a habit, the brain relies on repetitive action. It takes approximately twelve weeks to form any type of behavioural habit that strengthens neural pathways so that the brain will begin automatically commanding this behaviour. I highly recommend beginning a gratitude practice daily; at the same time, each day. Again, a ritual is deeply embedded in who we are, and to become ritualistic in your practices will ensure the deep integration of the behaviours that lead a life of loving out loud.

Journal It, write it in your diary, start a daily gratitude jar, speak it out loud to the mirror, there are many ways to do it, choose one that turns you on and has you Love Out Loud.

Actresses and Opera Singers feature in today’s playlist. We begin with Marilyn Monroe, then take it to the limit with The Eagles. Jackson Browne is next, Then the oddly named Edward Sharpe and the Magnificent Zeros. A singalong with Abba, a pop diva number from Beyonce and we finish with a duet from Lou Reed and Luciano Pavarotti: I Woke Up, I Have Clothes To Wear.

Part of my Loving Out Loud is to spread the ethos of Love and Respect For All, Everyone Included in all of my actions. Join me in this until we meet again my dear friends.

Ambrose was having a bad Day!!

Do you have bad days? a study was done amongst elite athletes and they reported to having between 3 to 6 bad days per month.  They understand that having a bad day is simply part of the process. The ability to accept these fluctuations in performance allows athletes to remain fully engaged in their training and keep their goals high.

my friend Brian Johnson from Optimize asks you to consider this: What if you suffer from a case of mistaken identity on those days? Who you think you are is not actually who you are. What you think you are here to do is not actually what you are here to do. What you think you are capable of is actually only a hint of your true ability.

Consider for a moment that you are totally wrong about yourself—and wrong about this infinite universe in which you live. What if that’s true? What if most of us live our entire lives and never know who we actually are, why we are here, and what we are supposed to do while visiting this planet? What if we have amnesia and we forgot who we really are right before we left our mother’s body and entered the world? I think this is exactly our state.

Who we think we are is not who we are. We are much, much more than our perceived selves. The Buddhists have a saying: ‘Don’t mistake the finger pointing to the moon for the moon itself.’ We think our ego—our persona—is who we really are. But this is only to the same extent that your clothes, your hairstyle, and your personality are who you are. In order to reach your full potential—your greatness—you must first admit that you are wrong about yourself.”

This line sums it up pretty well: “Who we think we are is not who we are. We are much, much more than our perceived selves.” And, know this: “In the battle of mind versus body, mind always wins!” Therefore, we’d be wise to step back and realize that we’re a LOT more than just the little version of ourselves that are pointing at the moon.
Campbell’s wisdom comes to mind: “What am I? Am I the bulb that carries the light, or am I the light of which the bulb is a vehicle?”

So does Walter Russell’s wisdom: “Early in life I found that to achieve greatness one had to go only one inch beyond mediocrity, but that one inch is so hard to go that only those who become aware of God in them can make the grade, for no one can achieve that one inch alone.”

Then there’s Eric Butterworth: “You may say, ‘But I am only human.’ This is the understatement of your life. You are not only human—you are also divine in potential. The fulfilment of all your goals and aspirations in life depends upon stirring up and releasing more of that divine potential. And there is really nothing difficult about letting this inner light shine. All we must do is correct the tendency to turn off our light when we face darkness.”

All of which brings us back to you. Do you suffer from a case of mistaken identity? 🙂

How would you live if you REALLY got the infinite power within yourself?

Is NOW a good time to start being that version of you?

P.S. Recall the etymology of the word identity that we discussed in our Notes on Atomic Habits. It means “repeated beingness.” So… Go be that best version of you. Repeatedly!)

So, I’m sure that people have had bad days since the beginning of history, let’s have a look at what they have said about it:

bd1

1. Elite athletes and entertainers have 3 to 6 bad days a month. yet they go out and perform on the biggest stages on the planet, you can do it on your version.

bd2

2. I saw this and had to include it as the cute animal shot of the day: The Christmas Hippo Song.

bd3

3. Daily practice 101, When you wake up, place your hand on your heart.

bd4

4. Probably the major thing that brought the tattoo removal business into prominence: Shout out to my Ex.

bd5

5. Nina Arianda Matijcio is an American actress. She won the 2012 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for her performance as Vanda Jordan in Venus in Fur and was nominated for the 2011 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for portraying Billie Dawn in Born Yesterday. In 2016, she began starring in Amazon Studios’ legal series Goliath. In 2018, she appeared in the biographical film, Stan & Ollie.

bd6

6. Was it really a bad day, or just a growth day: Learning to Fly.

bd7

7. A solution not possible for everyone, sometimes connection can lift the funk just as well.

bd8

8. Or you could just sleep most of the day, I’ve tried this: The Little Power Nap.

bd9

9. Simply put, we need the Shadow and the Light.

bd10.jpeg

10. Or naked: The Audience is Naked?

bd11

11. I had a few of these bad days.

bd12

12. Life goes on, choose to have more good days than bad: A Little Bit Stronger.

bd13.jpeg

13. Perhaps this was part of his Conversations with God.

bd14

14. Your dream is still calling you: Hello.

bd15

15. The lesson for today, if you live in the first world, there are billions worse off than you.

Do YOU think that you’ll magically get to a place where you no longer have bad days? Where you no longer fail? If so, GET RID OF THAT notion. It’s your biggest obstacle to crushing it. We need to KNOW that we’ll NEVER be exonerated. In fact, as we evolve and our standards get higher and higher and we take bigger and bigger risks, we WANT to experience more “failure.”

For today’s playlist Hippo songs were not easy to find, but Gayla Peevey’s before and after song is a beauty. Then some pop from Little Mix followed by the Rock of Tom Petty. Nap music follows with some advice by Tina Blake of getting the audience naked after it. Two fine songstresses in Sara Evans and Adele finish the set: Ambrose was Having a Bad Day.

So one every day you may someone having a bad day, so show Love and Respect to All, Everybody Included until we meet again, my dear friends:
