Drop the last year into the limbo of the Past!!

Fast forward to December 2019. You’re sitting at home pondering the year that’s been…What’s next? My friend Emeli and her crew wrote this as a sub-heading under 2019, ideal vision in Lifebook 2019 On Purpose: Get in Contact.

Em asks 8 questions, they are as follows:

  1. Who are You? What have you achieved? Where do you want to be?
  2. List the top three reasons you want this vision.
  3. Who do you want to be in 2019? List three small actions you can take to make a big change.
  4. What advice would you give to yourself in a year’s time?
  5. What books do you want to have read?
  6. What places do you want to have travelled to?
  7. What hobbies will you have started?
  8. Who would you have kissed more? Hugged more? Made, deep, deep love to?

So, if you are deeply ensconced in your humanity, you will have up and down periods over the year, so what are some of the favourite quotes about the year that was, let’s take a stroll down that lane:

tythb1

1.  Andriy Shevchenko is a soccer player and politician who made Champions League history; on 23 November 2005, he scored all four goals in Milan’s 4–0 group stage drubbing of Fenerbahçe, becoming only the fifth player to accomplish this feat; his company includes Marco van Basten, Simone Inzaghi, Dado Pršo and Ruud van Nistelrooy (while Lionel Messi joined that group in the 2009–10 season and Robert Lewandowski in 2012–13), and the only one to have done it in an away game.

tythb2

2. By the worlds most prolific quote writer, Ms Unknown, the world gets you: Golden Years.

tythb3

3. Don’t forget to include the fun factor as well as the hard work during 2019.

tythb4

4. Two words: Simon & Garfunkel: Frank Lloyd Wright

tythb5

5. Each of us reaches this revelation at different stages in our lives, will you do it in 2019?

tythb6

6. And some of it you dread and other bits you say Fuck, Yes too: After All These Years.

tythb7

7. For the sisters.

tythb8

8. René Karl Wilhelm Johann Josef Maria Rilke, better known as Rainer Maria Rilke, was a Bohemian-Austrian poet and novelist. He is “widely recognized as one of the most lyrically intense German-language poets. Obviously, Maria must have been a strong family name to be chosen to keep: Best thing I never Had.

tythb9

9. One of the shortest professional tennis players ever, Michael’s Chinese name (simplified Chinese: 张德培; traditional Chinese: 張德培; pinyin: Zhāng Dépéi) was chosen by Joe, his father and his English name by Betty, his mother (who named him after her father).

tythb10

10 Hurts so bad but living so good, great line: Hurt So Bad.

tythb11

11. Can you genuinely say this?

tythb12

12. Thirty, the new …..?: The Prime Time of Your Life.

tythb13

13, Just, because I can.

tythb14

14. Will it fill up your 1,000-litre cup: A Thousand Years.

tythb15

15. And the final message is for my beloved Warriors of Love.

Emeli also stated: that we can spend all day making lists of the external ‘stuff’ we want like clothes, cars etc. But what really drives us. I will leave you with that question to ponder over the months of 2019.

Last century songs outnumber the 2000’s in tonight’s playlist. We begin with David Bowie, then further back to Simon and Garfunkel. Some rock from Journey follows, then we move forward to Beyonce. Another oldie from Linda Rondstat, then we finish with two tunes written after the 2YK crisis by Daft Punk and Christina Perri: Drop the Last Year into the limbo of the Past.

So I have a request, in 2019 spread the ethos of Love and Respect for All, Everybody Included amongst your communities, workplaces, families and love relationships.

Be your own self, Love what you Love.

You are powerful when you believe in yourself – when you know that you are capable of anything you put your mind to. You are beautiful when your strength and determination shines as you follow your own path – when you aren’t dishevelled by the obstacles along the way. You are unstoppable when you let your mistakes educate you, as your confidence builds from experiences – when you know you can fall down, pick yourself up, and move forward.

These inspiring words are from Marc Chernoff, he also provides 11 ways to become this person:

  1. Stop judging, and appreciate the beauty within you.
  2. Treat yourself the way you want others to treat you.
  3. Care less about who you are to others.
  4. Know your worth.
  5. Don’t rush intimate relationships.
  6. Let go of those who aren’t really there.
  7. Forgive yourself and others.
  8. Focus on the Positive.
  9. Believe in the person you are capable of being.
  10. Work on Goals you believe in.
  11. Keep working and looking straight forward.

This chapter is entitled 11 ways to become the person you love, so lets have a look at what society has said about being the person you love:

pyl1

1. Amazing work! Kaci Diane has found a way to capture her raw emotions in a way that allows the reader to join her on a journey of hopes, dreams, ups and downs. You feel the highs and lows of each poem as Kaci gives you a glimpse into her heart and soul.”

pyl2

2. Feel that yearning deep in your soul: Yearning for Your Love.

pyl3.jpeg

3. I’m sure when we pop out that this is in place.

pyl4.jpeg

4. A million dollars worth: Who Says.

pyl5

5. A classic from the world’s great philosopher, Ms Unknown.

pyl6

6. Unrecognisable is the word that comes to mind for me: I Gotta Feeling.

pyl7

7. And your answer is?

pyl8

8.  Lalah hangs out in Mind, body, spirit, and life; wellness, wholeness, empowerment, and transformation, through Vibrational-based living, vibrating higher daily: Change Your Life.

pyl10

10. The good things at both ends, changes the meaning of the classic burning at both ends analogy doesn’t it: Somewhere over the Rainbow.

pyl11

11. Seven Billion No one is You’s, amazing. Go and fly.

pyl12

12. When self-obsession becomes a powerful tool in your armoury: Love Me.

pyl13

13. Out, damn thought – William Shakespeare, well, nearly.

pyl14

14. Bravery and Brene Brown, touche: Shame is Lethal.

pyl15.jpeg

15. Bette Midler!!

In the end, loving yourself os about enjoying your life, trusting your own feeling. taking chances, losing and finding happiness, cherishing the memories, and learning from the past. Sometimes you have to stop worrying, wondering, and doubting. Have faith that things will work out maybe not exactly how you planned, but just how it’s meant to be.

Today’s playlist is crowded with pop divas and some worldly advice. We begin with ex-members of the Gap Band, Charles Wilson and Tyrese, then our first diva Selena Gomez. The Black Eyed Peas appear before divas Iggy Azalea, Ariana Grande and Kate Perry. We finish with the wisdom of Brene Brown: Be your own self, Love what you Love.

Becoming the person you love allows you to love others: Love and Respect for All, Everybody Included, I look forward to seeing you again next time we meet, my dear friends.

I Woke Up, I Have Clothes To Wear!!

One of my friend’s Passions is turning One, Nicole Gibson’s movement Love out Loud turned One yesterday, and she is offering all of her products at half price on the world’s special day for love, Valentines Day: Nicoles Offer.

Nicole has written a beautiful book called a matter of factly Love Out Loud so in honour of this special day I picked up the book and opened it to a page, so today we will be looking at the value of gratitude, Chapter 8 for when you buy this excellent book. Nicole states that “A big part of creating a gratitude practice for yourself is the understanding that gratitude is about honouring what has been normalised in your life, so that it may be sustained. “

I am also a big fan of Danielle LaPorte’s Daily Planner which has you write one thing you are grateful for each morning. So what has the world had to say about being grateful as it travels along the timeline, here are a few of my favourites:

grat1.jpeg

1. Many song titles amongst this little gem.

grate2

2. Happy Birthday, Nicole, let’s Love Out Loud: Happy Birthday, Mr President.

grate3

3. Perfectionism, otherwise known as the booby prize when it comes to commencing fulfilling your dreams.

grate4.jpeg

4. I live in Australia, that puts me in the top one per cent of the planet for privileges, for that, I will be eternally grateful: Dirty Laundry.

grate5.jpeg

5. There are times that I haven’t found it easy to think this, but with the journey comes the shadow and the light.

grate6

6. What colour is your favourite cup, mine is sky blue: Running on Empty.

grate7

7. I like the theory we are all starseed, it makes it so much easier to love everything and everybody out loud.

grate8.jpeg

8. As you walk out your front door be very grateful, not everyone gets to do this: Home.

grate9

9. The past has gone, the future is yet to occur, all we have is Today.

grate11

10. Yes, You and You and You: Thank You For The Music.

grate12

11. We have the choice to begin anew each and every moment, although some days it may feel impossible.

grate13.jpeg

12. Big Tony has his say: Diva.

grate14

13, Jessye is recognised as one of the worlds great Mezzo Soprano’s, daughter of an Insurance Salesman and a school teacher, she discovered opera after her parents gave her a radio on her 9th birthday opening her horizons, where she discovered the world of opera, that she Loved Out Loud.

grate15.jpeg

14. It’s such a perfect day, I’m glad I spent it with You: Perfect Day.

grate16.jpeg

15. And for our final lesson, we hear from Marilyn’s birthday boy.

So back to Nicole to finish off:

Gratitude is a Practice.

For something to become a habit, the brain relies on repetitive action. It takes approximately twelve weeks to form any type of behavioural habit that strengthens neural pathways so that the brain will begin automatically commanding this behaviour. I highly recommend beginning a gratitude practice daily; at the same time, each day. Again, a ritual is deeply embedded in who we are, and to become ritualistic in your practices will ensure the deep integration of the behaviours that lead a life of loving out loud.

Journal It, write it in your diary, start a daily gratitude jar, speak it out loud to the mirror, there are many ways to do it, choose one that turns you on and has you Love Out Loud.

Actresses and Opera Singers feature in today’s playlist. We begin with Marilyn Monroe, then take it to the limit with The Eagles. Jackson Browne is next, Then the oddly named Edward Sharpe and the Magnificent Zeros. A singalong with Abba, a pop diva number from Beyonce and we finish with a duet from Lou Reed and Luciano Pavarotti: I Woke Up, I Have Clothes To Wear.

Part of my Loving Out Loud is to spread the ethos of Love and Respect For All, Everyone Included in all of my actions. Join me in this until we meet again my dear friends.

Make Your Life Simple But Significant!!

Someday life seems so complicated, yet other days we are in total flow: What is the difference? My friend Marc Chernoff suggests that there are things we should cease doing so we have more days of the latter. Here are Marc’s ideas:

  1. Stop berating yourself for being a work in progress.
  2. Stop doing immoral things just because you can.
  3. Stop meaning what you don’t say.
  4. Stop wasting time and money trying to acquire more of everything.
  5. Stop spending time with negative people.
  6. Stop trying to change people.
  7. Stop being lazy and cutting corners.
  8. Stop procrastinating,
  9. Stop worrying and complaining.
  10. Stop being dramatic.
  11. Stop trying to be everything to everyone.
  12. Stop making promises you can’t keep.
  13. Stop blaming others.
  14. Stop reacting without a plan.
  15. Stop confusing being busy with being productive.
  16. Stop over-committing and trying to do too much at once.
  17. Stop being inefficient simply because you’ve always done it that way.
  18. Stop cluttering your space.
  19. Stop overloading your mind by consuming useless information.
  20. Stop obsessing over the past and the future.
  21. Stop waiting for things to be perfect.
  22. Stop focussing so much energy on trying to avoid mistakes.
  23. Stop making emotional decisions.
  24. Stop being unhealthy.
  25. Stop holding onto intimate relationships that make you unhappy.
  26. Stop holding onto hate.
  27. Stop pretending like you know everything.
  28. Stop giving what you don’t want to receive.

Deep down in our hearts, we know these things would be good for us if we took them on. I wouldn’t recommend taking more than a few at a time, there is that adage new habits take 21 days to cement in place.

How far back does the advice on living life with ease go? Let’s have a look:

kis1

1. Apparently, a long way: here is some wisdom on the subject from Confucius, who lived in China in the Fifth Century B.C.

kis2

2. Time in nature is such a decluttering of the mind: Medicine.

kis3.jpeg

3. Some people prefer to complicate their life and even die before they make the changes that will benefit them.

kis4

4. Physically steps are always forward, metaphorically, I am not so sure: Neon Blue.

kis5.jpeg

5. And then there is always an act of service.

kis6.jpeg

6. Are Kiss really a rock group on an acronym for a life less complicated: I was made for Loving You.

kis7

7. Within the framework of his science-fiction stories, Heinlein repeatedly addressed certain social themes: the importance of individual liberty and self-reliance, the obligation individuals owe to their societies, the influence of organized religion on culture and government, and the tendency of society to repress nonconformist thought. He also speculated on the influence of space travel on human cultural practices.

kis8.jpeg

8. Self-explanatory really, each sunrise brings a new beginning if we are willing: A New Day Has Come.

kis9

9. Start learning from your mistakes. Smile, then move on.

kis10

10, Nike!!: Beat It.

kis11

11. Love and Respect for All, Everybody Included.

kis12

12. To turn left or right at the intersection, either way, It could profoundly change your life: Thinking Out Loud.

kis13.jpeg

13, Mini de complication list.

kis14

14, Less complicated does not mean easy to do, they are entirely different things: It’s Not Easy,

kis15

15, Finally, a reminder to surround yourself with people who reflect the person you want to be:, they are totally on your side.

What could you do to make your days less complicated, I’m sure there is something in this list that could empower you to live a less cluttered life, physically and mentally, go forward and try some on.

Today’s playlist contains some of the music industry heavies. We begin with the newbies, Queen Naija and Steps. Then four monoliths – Kiss, Celine Dion, Michael Jackson and Ed Sheeran. We finish with a visit to the African continent with Lucky Dube: Make Your Life Simple But Significant.

A way I find to not complicate my life is to show Love and Respect to All, Everyone Included. Best wishes until next time we meet, my dear friends.
