“My Energy Creates My Reality. What I Focus On Is What I Will Manifest”

One of Gabbi Bernsteins excellent The Universe has my Back 52 card deck. What creates your reality. It is said a truly strong person does not need the approval of others anymore than a lion needs the approval of sheep. If you spend your life creating your reality by seeking other people’s approval  before you take action you minimize what you are likely to achieve in your life. It’s fine to form partnerships with others to achieve your goals and dreams but do not hand the manifestation over to them.

There have been many different realities over our history, what did people have to say about it:

reality1

1. There are 7 billions opinions on earth even though mainstream media is trying to change this. Remember the more you love your decisions, the  less you need others to love them.

reality 2

2. Sometime reality hammers us, it is in these moments that relating to your dreams becomes very important. getting the negativity out of your life  at these moments is essential: Expectations versus Reality.

reality 3

3. The world’s greatest philosopher Ms. Unknown reminds us that we are the creators of our own unique canvas. Will yours hang in the Louvre or on the backdoor of your toilet?

reality 4

4. Parents are often surprised when their children start dropping the F bomb, words have power: That Power.

reality 5

5. Wagner’s life was characterised by political exile, turbulent love affairs, poverty and repeated flight from his creditors. His controversial writings on music, drama and politics have attracted extensive comment, notably, since the late 20th century, where they express antisemitic sentiments. The effect of his ideas can be traced in many of the arts throughout the 20th century; his influence spread beyond composition into conducting, philosophy, literature, the visual arts and theatre.

reality 6

6. From the author of Think and Grow Rich, which is amongst the top ten selling self help books of all time come some sage advice at to what your thoughts are capable of: Wild Thoughts.

reality 7

7. One of my top ten, Wayne Dyer, the full quote is you create your thoughts, your thoughts create your intentions and your intentions create your reality.

reality8

8. Not only a bugger for the bottle, Aristotle, way back in the Third Century B.C. knew the importance of knowledge and education in creating our realities; Pretty Hurts.

reality 9

9. Every day in every way, that’s how powerful our skill of creating our reality is.

reality10

10. Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati founded the Kashi Ashram, “an international interfaith community based on kindness, compassion and service”, in Florida in 1976. With this background she was obviously trying to affect the religious reality of the day that religions are separate from each other, more the one god theory: Ordinary Day.

reality 10

11. It must have taken some pretty powerful imagining to sit under the Bodhi Tree and reach enlightenment.

reality 12

12. How much energy do we waste regretting things that have happened in our past lives. It deprives us of the freshness we need to build the new structures we require to move forward: Future/Past.

reality 13

13. Then reality can be confusing. I am a one on one English tutor and you should see some of the looks my students give me when I try and explain words that are spelt the same and mean entirely different things.

reality 14

14. Known for her powerfully insightful quotes and poetry Anita Krizzan beseeches us to listen well when our reality begins to cause us pain: Hurt.

reality 15

15. The journey to fulfilling your dream has a few requirements, this is one of them.

“Be yourself. If you water down to please people or to fit in or to not offend anyone, you lose the power, the passion, the freedom and the joy of being uniquely you, It’s much easier to love yourself when you are being yourself. – Dan Coppersmith

Welcome to Reality.

Namaste until next time, my dear friends.

Do the right Thing!!

There is a basic connection among people, who all fundamentally want the same things: to be appreciated, to belong, to feel good about themselves, to make a difference. I am reading William Baker and Michael O’Malley’s great book Leading with Kindness: How good people consistently get superior results. Kindness is an apropos term to apply to leadership because it implies precisely such root connections among people engaged in meaningful reciprocal relationships.

They state that kindness is made up from six virtues, these are Compassion, Integrity, Gratitude, Authenticity, Humility and Humour. Quite a good mix to bring to leadership , I think. So what have we said about kindness over the centuries, let’s take a wee gander:

kindness1

1. Imagine if every soldier on the planet did this instead of firing their weapon in anger, let’s start the revolution today.

kindness2

2. Kindness is funny, you can’t buy it, it seems to have no pricetag, but once given to somebody it is rarely forgotten: Change.

kindness3

3. Be’s and But’s from Jim Rohn, one of the doyens of the personal development movement that  has transformed the business world.

kindness4

4. You are never too busy to partake in this mighty, mighty adventure: Better Together.

kindness5

5. When my dad died , we gave most of his possessions to charity, the people at his funeral were there because he was a kind generous soul.

kindness6

6. Reading this has me ponder, how often do I do this in my instant gratification filled life: Strong.

kindness7

7. So do I.

kindness8

8. How deep is the depth and passion of your kindness, what gets in the way: Kindness is a Muscle.

kindness9

9. There it is, in the silence of the actions that make it up,

kindness10

10. Cute kid and animal post, the kindness in it oozes right out of the image: Someone Like You.

kindness11

11. Leading by example, you don’t need the CEO title after your name.

kindness12

12. How did you choose the leaders in your life. Are all your bosses and power points amongst them, not in mine: Everybody.

kindness13

13. We are born free, one of the traits we get given is kindness which we display openly as young children, what happens later on?

kindness14

14. I call it Interculturalism: Love and respect for All – Everyone Included: What I Am.

kindness15

15. Yes, let’s be both.

Albert Schweitzer said ” Example is not the main thing in influencing others it is the only thing, I’ll finish with those powerful words.

Namaste until next time, my dear friends.

Find Your Passion!!!!

Both of my English students have pulled the plug today so I get to write this blog a few hours earlier, I have decided to write an ode to my friend and anam cara Emeli Paulo. I met Emeli setting out chairs at a yoga and meditation event some years ago. Both Emeli and I are the sort of people who if they see something needs to be done we get in and do it. We introduced ourselves and I asked why she had come. Emeli said she was running a workshop that would address what stops you in your life from having what you want happen. I still have her card with Stop Running Away written on it. As always she delivered her promise.

I am reading Simon Sinek’s second book Leaders eat Last. If you don’t know who Simon is he’s the start with Why guy, here’s a link to his TED talk, the second most watched one in the history of TED ;How great Leaders inspire Action. Emeli had me stick to my Why, which I had been resisting for two and a half years: Love and Respect for All – Everyone Included.

Why, How, What, how has the world written about it over time, let’s have a look:

why1

1. Finding it difficult to get out of bed? Have you why written on your dresser window and it will go away.

why2

2. I’d lose that extra weight if I was motivated. Your only limit is You, Do it Now, If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you. Sounds like a Tony Robbins seminar in full flight. But if underneath it all, if you have not answered Why?, words spoken and written on parchment that will make no difference: No Excuses.

why3

3. Google has let me down, when I put in Coach Hite it brought up coach hire in Melbourne, Australia where I live, so he must remain anonymous, but it’s such a beautiful quote it deserves more.

why4

4. I always thought David Bowie was singing: Passion , turn to the left ilo Fashion, so here it is: Fashion.

why5

5. As kids we run around all day like this, then something happens. Time to take it back.

why7

6. In my youth I would boast I read Nietzsche to look cool, now he writes leadership and motivational quotes. His books are not quite so accessible: Roar.

why8

7. My birthday, is 17th July, must admit can’t remember the other. I do know where, at the Darebin Intercultural Centre one, windy, rainy day during a Melbourne winter.

why9

8. But Mummy, The unicorn was that big. Never forget your childhood unicorns: Dark Horse.

why10

9. In the mirror. It’s You, Yay!! Out on the streets to kick some ass.

why11

10. Here is the man himself, Simon Sinek, something we love called passion: beautiful words and ethos: Love is Action.

why12

11. This is what finding your Why allows you in life. Get on board, the bus is leaving now.

why13

12. My mentor Arion always says to have a vision and essence for any project you wish to fulfill in your life. It will be there to remind you when the going gets tough. Thanks brother , for that: You and Me.

why14

13. This is why we spend our lives finding our Why, because of the things that never were that we are meant to create, little or large,

why15

14. I’d add one, Know your Why on a daily basis: Believe in Yourself.

why16

15. One smile at a total stranger is enough to do this. Don’t be withholding.

I just realised you may not know what an Anam cara is? Anam Cara is the old gaelic term for “soul friend.” anam meaning soul and cara meaning friend. Anam Ċara is the title of a 1997 bestseller on “Celtic spirituality”, the first publication by Irish author and then-priest John O’Donohue. According to O’Donohue, the Irish term anam cara (lit. “soul-friend”) originates in Irish monasticism, where it was applied to a monk’s spiritual advisor.

The book was an international bestseller and catapulted the author to public notability as an author and much sought-after speaker and teacher particularly in the United States. O’Donohue left the priesthood in 2000. As O’Donohue puts it: The term is greatly misconstrued to mean “soul mate”, anam meaning soul and cara meaning friend.

What is Emeli’s Why. here is the link: Collective Potential.

Like Water in the Desert!!

I took part in an eldership ceremony yesterday, my friend Gabriella requested to be admitted into the tribe of elders in our community. We sang her into the room with the first verse of Amazing Grace, it was the only one we all knew. Then we gave her our own personal blessing and welcomed her into her new role.

It was extremely moving and I thought I would write about Eldership today as I am 63 since last Monday I have the right to do this as I hold myself as an elder too. I looked up Eldership quotes and it seems you have to be a Christian to become one out there in the big, wide , world. This was not how Gabby or I hold Eldership so the quotes for today come from a different space, leadership in one’s community.

Lets us journey down the Eldership path:

elder1.jpeg

1. John Quincy Adams  – July 11, 1767 – February 23, 1848) was an American statesman who served as a diplomat, United States Senator, member of the House of Representatives, and was the sixth President of the United States from 1825 to 1829. He was a member of the Federalist, Democratic-Republican, National Republican, and later the Anti-Masonic and Whig parties, thats a lot of parties.. He was the son of President John Adams and Abigail Adams and thus contributed to the formation of the Adams political family. He served as a leader for his whole life.

elder2

2. To me eldership does not get handed to you just because of your age. This statement from Gandhi is more to the point of why you do: Be the Change.

elder3

3. These are the wise things I hope that I pass on as an elder in my community.

elder4

4. As elders you will have made many mistakes in your life, the wisdom bit is how you tell the people you are advising to deal with them: Learning from your Mistakes.

elder5

5. And remember red stands out more than white, no drab fare for the elders of the world.

elder6

6. Winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, Albert lived to the ripe old age of 90. He was 77 when he won his Nobel Prize, an elder leading by example: Lead by Example.

elder7.jpeg

7. They say hate will never solve anything. To me negativity is a form of hate. People do not come to their elders for negativity.

der8

8. This reminds me of the two wolves story for some reason, that it depends on which story you are telling yourself that counts: Making Progress.

elder9

9. By the time we reach Eldership I’m sure we have covered all of these.

elder10

10. The cute quote of the day, fairy penguins, Aaw: The Penguin Song.

elder11

11. Essence is on there, The essence that you live through your life may grant you Eldership, and then again maybe not.

elder12

12. There are often times during our lives that our abilities seem to slip to a level that we later regret, they can become wise stories to tell as elders so others don’t make the same mistakes: Talking to Strangers.

elder13

13. Eldership is in pointing out that it’s hard to be somewhere else than where you are.

elder14

14. Sometimes Eldership is not words, it is just holding the space with silence allowing the others to work out what they need too: Some Eldership words from Alan.

elder15

15. Yes, even Elders are novices at that exact point of time, the new age they are.

Enjoy the little things in life because one day you will look back and realise they were the big things. I love the song from little things big things grow, such as Eldership.

Namaste until next time, my dear friends.

Forgive yourself for not Knowing!!

I was about to continue reading Danielle LaPorte’s magnificent book White Hot Truth when I discovered I had finished it and what remained was the index, I loved this book so much I considered reading it anyway. here is a link to Danielle’s page so you can get this book: Clarity for your life. I have been choosing subjects out of the book for my blogs as I have been reading it over the last couple of weeks. In the last few pages Danielle talks about Self-Compassion, I love this subject so that is what we will discuss today. Let’s walk down this sacred path:

selfc1

1. I am in a year long training program called the Activators training program which is to have you live from Essence during your days. Katie’s quote relates to what we practice on a daily basis.

selfc2

2. Why is this happening to me? I was discussing how does one have integrity with my mentor yesterday and this subject came up. That how powerfully you could be in the moment was your level of integrity: Divinity.

selfc3

3. At times in our life we need to be sad, angry even extremely pissed off. And yes, that is good for us.

selfc4

4. Coco Chanel used to talk about wearing more than one string of pearls. Why wear one if you can wear two, or something to that effect. I think that one string of pearls is just fine. But that’s because my pearls are black, hers were white. How many strings of self compassion pearls are you willing to grant yourself: String of Pearls

selfc5

5. Do you feel that, the rising of the sun within’s rays. That’s called transformation.

selfc6

6. Time to be that goody two shoes you have always wanted to be. Service, Kindness, Love, Generosity, etc.etc.etc: Try.

selfc7

7. Activators, this is your lesson for today.

selfc8

8. Big hug for yourself, make sure you have given consent: Pretty Hurts.

selfc9

9. Set your controls for the heart of the sun. no hold on, turn around and set them for your heart.

selfc10

10. You, yourself, the face in the mirror, the one they are talking too, they’re included: Seeing the Goodness.

selfc11

11. I am always talking to myself, I think everybody does. it takes something to turn that voice down. Be it a daily meditation practice like loving kindness, I find that having a practice changes the quality of the message to self love.

selfc12

12. Getting to know and accepting yourself, beautiful: F**king Perfect.

selfc13

13. Gautama Buddha (c. 563 BCE/480 BCE – c. 483 BCE/400 BCE), also known as Siddhārtha Gautama , Shakyamuni Buddha or simply the Buddha, after the title of Buddha, was an ascetic (śramaṇa) and sage, on whose teachings Buddhism was founded. He is believed to have lived and taught mostly in the eastern part of ancient India sometime between the sixth and fourth centuries.

Gautama taught a Middle Way between sensual indulgence and the severe asceticism found in the śramaṇa movement common in his region.

selfc14

14. Time to accept so you can create space for something else, your life is worth a great deal more than that perceived negative thought you just had: Firework.

selfc15

15. Remember having to take permission slips to school when you went on school excursions. Guess what, It’s your turn to write them for yourself, make them beautiful.

As Danielle finishes her book – May your beauty dawn on you. May your pure faith light the way. May all be so blessed. And hey… slow down if you need to, but don’t ever stop.

Namaste until next time my dear friends

It changes the entire Conversation!!

I’m an one on one English tutor at Darebin Intercultural Centre in Preston, Victoria, Australia. My student didn’t turn up this morning and I had printed her a lesson called Making Contact. I put this in Google Images and it brought up hundred of quotes on making eye contact, transfiguration  by another name.

My friend Chris runs these amazing transfiguration events where you share eye contact with 20 different people over the evening and you finish with a I Love you Circle. This was not what I expected when I typed the words in so let’s have a look at some of these quotes and how they can be interpreted:

mc1

1. Kids get it, but adults have had the joy and imagination beaten out of their imagination.

makec2

2. Making eye contact with a total stranger was how I met my first true soulmate, on a railway station of all places: Soul on Fire.

To date,   is the author of 4 well-received books, in 4 different genres: Signposts to Elsewhere (aphorisms), Trial by Ink: From Nietzsche to Bellydancing (essays), Fever Dreams (poems), and most recently, The Artist as Mystic (conversations): Heart’s on Fire.

makec9

9. I just had too because it is so silly.

makec13

13. And, Yes I love Ram Dass, check him out. It’s not the christian God he is talking about.

makec14

14. Sarcasm is a beautiful thing, shit women have to  put up with all the time: Stop staring at my Boobs.

makec15

15. And then there are times this has to be the next action.

Well, Eye contact, AKA transfiguration is a very powerful tool for connecting with your fellow human beings, practice it as often as you can.

Life is like Photography!!

Crystals, Meditation, Flower essences, Essential oils, Sacred geometry, Mudras, Mantras, Incantations, Vision boards…

They are all metaphysical technologies, and like any technology, if you don’t know how to use it , your motherboard could get fried, Danielle LaPorte writes in her latest book White Hot Truth: Danielle’s website.

Trying to activate the Kundalini because you read a book somewhere is like starting to build a nuclear reactor in your home because you read how to do it on the internet – Sadhguru.

Danielle goes on to say Once you find your God/Goddess, He/She may turn your life inside out and you’ll be called to reorganize your plans, your mind, and your body. You will finally understand the “work” in “Light worker”.

So what do you hold to be your awareness level, let’s take a journey to the stars:

aware1

1. Eckhart Tolle talks about the power of the Now to exist in the silence of pure presence, seems to be another way of illustrating awareness.

aware2

2. My mentor Arion Light through his Activation work has us be in contact with our essence in our bodies not our mind. The awareness this provides is phenomenal: What is Activation?

aware3

3. A + C = R.

aware4

4. Babies lie in their cradles watching the world in awe because they are not yet aware that things are labelled, perhaps it is the purest form of awareness: Cats in the Cradle.

aware5

5. What does awareness give us, shitloads apparently

aware6

6. How well do you accept your life, I feel I spend a lot of time being unaware what is going on, it’s just a haze so acceptance could be a long way off: Suddenly I See.

aware7

7. Lao Tzu is one of my top ten. You can read one sentence and study it for the next week.

aware8

8. Be aware that self love is your greatest growth seed. Water it and you will transform: Born this Way.

aware9

14. A West African shaman by the name of Dr. Malidoma Patrice Somé has a different view of mental illness compared to that of people in the western world, where we focus on pathology and the idea that the behavior exhibited by those diagnosed with the condition is something that needs to stop.

Dr. Somé proposes that what we call depression, bipolar, psychosis and schizophrenia may perhaps be a remarkable transformation in consciousness and an inevitable step towards human development.

Dr. Somé and the Dagara people support the shamanic view that signals mental illness as “the birth of a healer.” They believe that this person has been selected as a medium for a message to the community. What Westerners view as “mental illness”, the Dagara people view as “good news from the other world.”: Healing Song.

15. Then, finally it’s your awareness that matters in the end, do the best you can for you.

Should we avoid esoteric practices and teachers altogether and take the path of total self-reliance? We can’t. And we shouldn’t-this is part of our awakening. What we should do, at many stops along the way, is recommit to our spiritual education. We should scrutinize every class, every sermon, every theory, with the respect our soul – and our greatest teachers deserve.

Namaste until next time, my dear friends.

How to walk on Water?

Cleaning up I found Marc and Angel Chernoff’s great so not little book 1000+ Little Things Happy Successful People Do Differently. I flipped it open and the tale was How to Walk on Water.
