The most Precious Treasure of Mine!!

In terms of your stuff (material possessions) and your lifestyle (adventure, education, time, interests) what do you hold most precious?

Scan your home, all that you own etc.. Then, review your schedule, your hobbies, your career, your favourite activities and the perks of your life and identify your most precious things. (i.e. your phone, car, heirlooms, favourite shoes, most expensive jumper, artwork, your house, your vacations, all of your Air Mile points, your stellar reputation, your free time, your network of amazing professionals, your summer, your money in your rainy day account, your highly curated music collection, your make-up, your purse or wallet, your best winter coat, your bed or couch, your website…)

What would give you acute panic to part with? What are you loath to let go of? What do you think you could not live without?

This is Step 1 in part 2 of  Danielle LaPorte’s awesome review of the year called Free and Clear, It’s called your most precious things: All Danielle’s good stuff.

Her final question in this part of the review is – Without all the stuff, and the perks, and the things you’ve worked for…What’s your most precious thing? (Hint: You and what only you can give to the world.)

So what does the world say about preciousness, is it dark like Gollum’s precious in Lord of the Rings or light like the sound of your children laughing with each other, let’s have a look.

precious1

1. What would life be like if every day was exactly the same, they made a movie about it called Groundhog Day, I like it a lot.

precious2

2. Now here is a person I didn’t dream of that I would be using in regard to preciousness, but it points to the power of the love of our children: When I’m Gone.

precious3

3. And also remember to include yourself in this.

precious4

4. A beautiful quote from Robert Ludlum an American author of 27 thriller novels, best known as the creator of Jason Bourne from the original The Bourne Trilogy series. The number of copies of his books in print is estimated between 290 million and 500 million. They have been published in 33 languages and 40 countries: Human.

precious5

5. You can always make more money, but you can never get the time and attention back, it is infinitely precious, do not stop giving it if you can.

precious6

6. Family, friends, life experiences, this is what you remember, and what do they all have in common? Yes. that’s right, time: If today was the last day in my life!!

precious7

7. Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh is a global spiritual leader, poet and peace activist, revered around the world for his powerful teachings and bestselling writings on mindfulness and peace. This is a beautiful piece of his preciousness.

precious8

8. We often forget this and give in to the judgments our mind throws at us, precious love doesn’t work that way: A Woman’s Heart.

precious9

9. What a great picture of those times in our lives when preciousness of friendship is about how much we can play together.

precious10

10 Pick your favourite, beautiful list: Love Song.

precious11

11. My mother has not eaten for three months, she has decided to leave us. At the final session of the course, I was doing last night we were asked to share what was the most remarkable thing of essence that had occurred in the six week period. I got up and shared it was the fact my three siblings and I had communicated for every single day of that period, love you guys.

precious12

12. Please don’t wait for the above situation before you realise the importance of the people who chose to live this time in with you: Family Times.

precious13

13. I think this has happened to me, I must remember to inhale when I am in her presence.

precious14

14. There are only 24 hours in a day, remember to use it wisely. It’s the same amount as Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela and Malala had and have: Whiskey Lullaby.

precious15.jpg

15. And this is the most precious moment of our lives.

So step 2 asks you Imagine giving away hundred’s of your most precious things. They would have it and you wouldn’t. Imagine giving it away freely. With a smile to anyone and everyone.

How does that feel? Terrifying? heavy with Guilt? Panicky? Pissed right off? Energising? Releived. My answer to the most Precious Thing is having Love and Respect for All, Everyone Included becoming the world paradigm.

Music includes the partnership of Hitler and Enimem, a Steve Jobs vignette, Celtic Women and Allison Krause with Brad Paisley

Passion meets Compassion!!

Your karass is out there. You are already a part of it. Your life has great meaning, and if you become conscious of it, it speeds up the process. When the members of a karass know that others exist, something activates and the karass gets organised and can operate more efficiently. You may not know yet which karass you’re in, but of you do, consider whether you know who’s in your karass. See if you can find even one person who is serving the same purpose as you./ Reach out to these people. Make a connection. Acknowledge your shared vision. These people are not your competition. They are your allies. If we all do this , perhaps we can serve our purpose more effectively.

This is the hero’s practice in the Committ to Illuminating the Truth in Lissa Rankin’s excellent book The Anatomy of a Calling.

The term karass comes from Kurt Vonnegut’s book Cat’s Cradle. A karass is a group of incarnated beings whose job it is to bring into existence one of God’s holy ideas, pretty neat, huh.

So lets have a look at what society says about finding your purpose:

cp1

1. from a man who definitely found his then went about giving it away to the world, Pablo Picasso gets it pretty right as to what finding your purpose means.

cp2

2. That is why you need to find your karass, they will allow you your rest and then get you back on track: Don’t Give Up.

cp3

3. Don’t have a job, have the profession that is your purpose, your passion.

cp4

4. False slogans and statements can get in the way of your purpose, it didn’t for Martin Luther King: I have a Dream.

cp5

5. Abraham Harold Maslow was an American psychologist who was best known for creating Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, a theory of psychological health predicated on fulfilling innate human needs in priority, culminating in self-actualization. This is the next step after self-actualisation.

cp6

6. Remember those things you didn’t complete, they were’nt your passion: Change.

cp7

7. My passion is to integrate Love and Respect for All, Everyone Included, what the purpose is I am yet to find.

cp8

8. Dostoyevsky’s literary works explore human psychology in the troubled political, social, and spiritual atmospheres of 19th-century Russia, and engage with a variety of realistic philosophical and religious themes. A hard period to stay alive in , Dostoyevsky definitely found something to live for through his writing: A Great Big World

cp9

9. One of the primary tasks this time in, why did you choose to be born this time around? When found out, go for it with all of your might.

cp10

10. Nothing and nobody to compare yourself to when you live from purpose: Purpose.

cp11

11. A question , How many of you found your purpose through learning the times tables?

cp12

12. Especially the recipes taught as curriculums via the education system: I like me Better.

cp13

13. Indigenous wisdom worth listening to.

cp14.

14. Support people as they strive for their purpose, it can be a tough journey: As you walk through the Storm.

cp15

15. And finally remember all the great purposes have  never  been about ourselves.

The bond between members of a karass runs deep and pure. Their lives fit together in service to their shared spiritual purpose, go out there and finf and help build your karass.

The Music comes from the 60’s, Prince, John Legend, Justin beiber and there is also 5 minutes of Martin Luther King’s genius/

Before Alice got to Wonderland!!

I’m reading Tools of Titans , an amazing resource book by Tim Ferriss. He suggests you read only the bits that hit home to you. It’s broken up in three parts: Healthy , Wealthy and Wise. I had to stop reading the healthy bit because it became way too confronting for the physical state I am in at the moment.

So I flipped to the wealthy section and the page opened on big Tony, Tony Robbins, he of the just say YES and finish my sentences for me. Each person is asked Is there a quote that guides your Life? Tony’s answer was “It’s a belief: Life is happening for us, not to us. It’s our job to find out where the benefit is. If we do, Life is magnificent.

After my experiences with NLP I have a dislike for some of Tony’s methods so this may explain why I misread it as Life is Happening to Us, so this is what we will discuss roday:

liffe1

1. I went dancing to Sweat Your Prayers on Sunday for the first time in a long time. I ran into my friend Jane. There was this incredibly sensual young woman with her, I kept thinking I know you, turns out it was Jane’s daughter Caitlin who I had spent a weekend sharing our souls together at a retreat late last year. We chatted like we had been apart 5 minutes.

liffe2

2. Denis Kimbro deals with the question as to why black Americans, who are considered wealthy by 90% of the worlds population, struggle on a day to day basis, his premise is that their reaction to life dis-empowers them: Not Afraid.

liffe3

3. From one of the world’s great philosophers, Ms. Unknown comes this classic that point to where we must first work on our life, Within.

liffe4

4. In this I want it right now world we often forget this and manage to stuff quite a few things up: Hakuna Matata.

liffe5

5. Things happens, they become events in  our lives. Then stressors enter the Universe, they are called our reactions, choose wisely.

liffe6

6. The meat and potatoes way of saying it: It’s my Life.

liffe7

7. Supposed to be versus how it actually is , gives us access to Life is happening for us.

liffe8

8. You have a roof over your head, money in your purse and food to eat, for a huge percentage of the planet that is equivalent to joy: Brene on Joy.

9. My take at it: It’s up to us, because we can, It’s our time.

liffe10

10. Are they still there, the one’s who are: they are the keepers: True Colours.

liffe11

11. Love and Respect for All, Everyone Included.

liffe12

12. What if everything that happens for us is to teach us a lesson, and our job is to get them as soon as we can: What about Us.

liffe13

13. Just to make sure you get the hint!!

liffe14

14. And remember the mirror practice so you know who needs to hear this message: Change Your Life.

liffe15

15. And from the creator of http://www.thework.com, Byron Katie, a final reminder that life happens for us. It’s up to us how that occurs.

Tony also mentions that a way to improve your life is to ask great questions that empower you because then your life is happening for you because you are the driving force.

Music this week comes from Eminem, Bon Jovi, Pink, Casey Chambers, Hakuna Matata and some wisdom from Brene Brown. I think its time for Youtube Red, can’t stomach the Macca and Coke ads, apologies in advance.

Namaste until next time, my dear friends.

Your path is Beautiful and Crooked!!

Paulo Coelho wrote: One day you will wake up and there won’t be any more time to do the things you’ve always wanted to do. Do it now.

Many of us put our happiness and dreams on hold for another day, when the truth is life is happening right now. If you want to make positive changes, today is the day. I love Joseph Campbell’s Follow your Bliss journey, It isn’t all about wonders, it also includes the dark side and what it takes to get through it to attain the bliss in your life.

So There are a lot of Joseph’s quotes in today’s list but that’s not a bad thing:

bliss14

14. Share your message, don’t write wwrite: One last Song.

15. Bliss to me is giving the stars to those we love.

What is another word for bliss?

What’s another word for bliss? Here’s a list of synonyms for this word.
delight, enjoyment, euphoria, happiness, harmony, joy, paradise, pleasure, beatitude, blessedness, cool, ecstasy, felicity, gladness, heaven, rapture, gone
The music includes an hour  of Pharrell Williams amazing 24 hour video of people dancing to Happy, it is very uplifting and the African women singing Joy is beautiful.

We would astound Ourselves!!

Are you doing what you are uniquely capable of, What you Feel you were placed Here on Earth to Do? Can you be replaced?

People often think its about the money, If I do that I will answer my abundance prayer. But a great place to look is, are you interchangeable, are you using your unique abilities that make you the special one. Tim Ferriss uses a philosophy of ,Am I saying Hell Yeah about something: If not he says no. In the  Konmari decluttering method the only things that survive are those that bring you joy, so what is your unique gift to the world:

unique1

1. So, So, So, So, So, So…..Got the message?

unique2

2. Across the world, each culture has its own definition of beautiful, you fir in somewhere: Perfect.

unique3

3. In an interview with comedian Paul Mecurio, Tyson offered his definition of spirituality: “For me, when I say spiritual, I’m referring to a feeling you would have that connects you to the universe in a way that it may defy simple vocabulary. We think about the universe as an intellectual playground, which it surely is, but the moment you learn something that touches an emotion rather than just something intellectual, I would call that a spiritual encounter with the universe.” Tyson has argued that many great historical scientists’ belief in intelligent design limited their scientific inquiries, to the detriment of the advance of scientific knowledge.

unique4

4. I was watching the TV doco series the 1990’s about technology when browsers where first developed for the internet, before that it has been the playground of scientific nerds, that is less that 30 years ago. People did not usedto wake up and check their Iphones, amazing: Never Be Like You.

unique5

5. All their fantasies, talk to them like they are real, why can’t they be Ed Sheeran or Adele.

unique6

6. Remember, they chose you because they knew you were the right ones to prepare them for their unique bright future: Everyone is Different!!

unique7

7. To learn what you’re best at, or what you’re most passionate about, you have to throw a lot against the wall.

Unique8

8. That which is not, can you imagine that?,or what they are singing about in this song: Being Kind.

unique9

9. The more we walk towards community, the more powerful our uniqueness becomes as we play our unique role in creatig it, without the I.

unique10

10. One of the more stranger things I have read of HHDL: Problem.

unique11

11. What is the definition of Unique, anyway:

u·nique

/yo͞oˈnēk/

noun

  • 1. a unique person or thing.

adjective

  • 1. being the only one of its kind; unlike anything else: “the situation was unique in modern politics” synonyms: distinctive, distinct, individual, special, idiosyncratic, single, sole, lone, unrepeated, unrepeatable, solitary, exclusive, rare, uncommon, unusual, sui generis, one-off, one-of-a-kind, once-in-a-lifetime, one-shot

unique12

12. This would make a great mantra to repeat everyday: Whole Lotta Love.

unique13

13. Turn the tap off!!

unique14

14. This is why I have such respect for true teachers, their ability to send each student home with their sense of uniqueness intact is amazing: Believing In Me.

unique15

15. I came across that quote the other day about having the same 24 hours as HHDL, Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Malala. It lies on the other side of fear.

So in seeking your uniqueness what blessings have becomes excesses. In excess, most thingstake on the characteristic of their opposite. Pacifists become miltants, freedom fighters become tyrants, Blessings become curses, Help becomes hndrances. More becomes Less. In the midst of overwhelm, is life not showing me exactly what I should subtact, Am I having a breakdown or a breakthrough. Being unique takes work and it is easy to become complacent.

The music today is two kids songs, a 70’s classic from Led Zep and a tribute to  my dad and sister Ruth.

Namste until next time my dear friends.

Have Faith in what can Be!!

I have been working on accepting what is so with my mentor Arion: Activating your Essence.. I go between accepting it in my heart and seeing what that allows for and listening to the dross my head throws at me 24/7. Ring Chapter 10 – Release your attachments in Lissa Rankins wonderful book The Anatomy of a Calling : Info about it.

At the end of each chapter there is a Hero’s guidepost and a Hero’s practice, I would like to share Hero’s practice with you:

” I Accept ” Meditation

Practice an “I accept” meditation. Close your eyes and allow yourself to feel all the disappointment about things that aren’t going how you hoped. let yourself feel the sadness, anger, frustration, hopelessness, fear and embarrassment. Don’t judge your feelings. Just feel them. Then repeat the mantra “I accept, I accept, I accept.” Notice any inner resistance that bubbles up and keep repeating the mantra. Pay attention to any thoughts that refute your mantra, anything you feel that you can’t accept. But keep going, “I accept, I accept, I accept.” To be guided through an ” I accept” meditation , download the free guided meditation at TheAnatomyofaCalling.com. For more help preventing and accepting disappointment, read Christine Hassler’s book Expectation Hangover.

So how does the world look at acceptance, let’s go on a journey:

accept1

1. Eckhart Tolle points us to this moment in time that we seem to want to avoid, what is the power of now.

accept2

2. But you should always go with your heart, the gateway to your soul: Listen to Your Heart.

accept3

3. If only I had….., When I get 10k lighter…, I’m not sure I can…, all expectations, what are yours?

accept4

4. I know you, they say our blood changes every seven years so why do we assume that our personalities stay the same?: Everybody’s Changing.

accept5

5. Can we accept this unconditionally? How different would our relationships be  if we lived this life.

accept6

6. In 2017, Rolling Stone magazine ranked him second (behind Richard Pryor) on its list of the 50 best stand-up comics of all time. George Carlin is a genius, check out his youtube videos: The reason Education Sucks.

accept7

7. Accept how your life is but always have a go to position, how you want your life to look.

accept8

8. In your face, yes it’s manipulation, they are as they are. Thats why you love them: Me, Myself, I.

accept9

9. Remember those teenage years when it was all about being liked by others, fitting in, being one of the gang – It’s time to stop that.

accept10

10. Campbell’s magnum opus is his book The Hero with a Thousand Faces (1949), in which he discusses his theory of the journey of the archetypal hero found in world mythologies. Since the book’s publication, Campbell’s theory has been consciously applied by a wide variety of modern writers and artists. His philosophy has been summarized by his own often repeated phrase: “Follow your bliss.”: The Climb.

accept11

11. Carl Ransom Rogers  was an American psychologist and among the founders of the humanistic approach (or client-centered approach) to psychology. Rogers is widely considered to be one of the founding fathers of psychotherapy research. The person-centered approach, his own unique approach to understanding personality and human relationships, found wide application in various domains such as psychotherapy and counseling (client-centered therapy), education (student-centered learning), organizations, and other group settings.

accept12

12. Acceptance is one part of you creating your own unique destiny: Choose your Destiny.

accept13

13. How could I not include The Power of Now guy.

accept14

14. And the tenets of my faith is Yes, Yes, Yes – Love is Love. Well done Australia for saying yes to same sex marriage: Love is Love.

accept15

15. OK , I admit it, I was a Charmed addict because of Alyssa Milano. Love this quote from her about the dark and the light.

Joseph Campbell, the Follow your Bliss and the Hero’s Journey dude, states on the road of trials is where you find your faith, when you learn to accept what life is throwing at you that you don’t love, allowing yourself to move forward.

The music today included pop divas Beyonce and Billy Cyrus, some Disney thrown in and the masterful George Carlin.

Face your Fears, and Wipe your Tears!!

If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, “Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.” : Martin Luther King

There’s something precious and unique about each and everyone of us. We are all worthy human beings; we are all smart and capable of achieving many inspiring and wonderful acts. You came here to perform a very important role, and who you are matters.

The world needs all of us, so let’s have a look at what  we have said over the generations about living a  life that matters:

matters1

1. Looking for someone else to provide this within you heart will not work if you are not there as well.

matters2

2. Jon Freeman studies split second social perception – how we use facial cues to categorize other people into social groups and perceive their personality traits and emotion. This makes is so important that we have a  healthy self image as in these days of this style of perception we don’t get much time from others: You matter to Me.

matters3

3. Remember, it’s not what people say, it’s in their actions.

matters4

4. In the end it’s what you think about yourself that counts. What others thinks is their personal perception: Perfect.

matters7

7. Giving for giving sake, what would you do in life that you don’t need to be paid for.

matters8

8. If we only remembered these deep lessons we read in the books of our younger years. Dr Seuss provided one here: Need you Now.

matters9

9. The way through those experiences is not to wish they would go away, It is to enter them and accept they happened and have the control they have over you lessen.

matters10

10. When you get up in the morning, look in the mirror and say, I’m allowed and I matter: Welcome Back.

matters11

I’m going to see the World!!

How do you see the world? Gabrielle Bernstein says you can change the way through the statement – When i lean on certainty and faith I change my mind about the World I See. What does she  mean by this statement? Is it that when you believe in what you believe in you do not have to fall for what mainstream media is trying to push down your throat what you are meant to believe about what goes on day to day.

Let’s have a look at ways to do this, there are many:

world1

1. Do you open up your creativity to see the many different ways that it permits you to relate to the extraordinary journey that our lives are.

world2

2. I recently learnt that I had very western values about the Chinese culture when I became an English tutor for three Chinese mothers. I learnt as much each lesson about China as they did about the English language each lesson. It’s a great way to find out how sheltered how you see the world is: Curious.

world3

3. I watched a documentary about Romania, the host was appearing on a fashion reality show as thousands of people were protesting on the streets because the government were trying to legitimise corruption.

world4

4. How much do we owe to the photographers that travel the world and capture the images that make us go : I’ve never thought that way about that place. Alex Sattler is one of them: Photograph.

world5

5. I Think Maya is giving permission to young women to listen to their hearts and not what the fashion magazines tell them is their role in life with this statement.

world6

6. Dali and Picasso see the world very differently to a landscape or portrait artist. Yet each is revealing his soul on the canvas: Art for Arts Sake.

world7

7. I was in Leningrad the year before the Berlin Wall came down and Communism ended in the Soviet Union, the people we meant said they loved Russia, but they just made a mistake 70 years ago, Now known as St. Petersburg, it is a beautiful city.

world8

8. My sister takes thousands of photo’s when she travels the world, I don’t think one of them is of the local airport: Leaving on a Jet Plane.

world9

9. You don’t need to leave your lounge room, to have these if you are , curious that is. Although I imagine that will not be the case.

world10

10. Shaw’s expressed views were often contentious; he promoted eugenics and alphabet reform, and opposed vaccination and organised religion. He courted unpopularity by denouncing both sides in the First World War as equally culpable, He really meant keep yourself clean and bright: Windows of the World.

world11

11. How would life be, if this statement was true for each of us every day.

world12

12. The general theme of Rumi’s thought, like that of other mystic and Sufi poets of Persian literature, is that of tawhid — union with the Beloved, from whom he sees himself as being cut off and aloof. His longing and desire to attain it is evident in the following poem from his book the Masnavi:

I died to the mineral state and became a plant,
I died to the vegetable state and reached animality,
I died to the animal state and became a man,
Then what should I fear? I have never become less from dying.
At the next charge (forward) I will die to human nature,
So that I may lift up (my) head and wings (and soar) among the angels,
And I must (also) jump from the river of (the state of) the angel,
Everything perishes except His Face,
Once again I will become sacrificed from (the state of) the angel,
I will become that which cannot come into the imagination,
Then I will become non-existent; non-existence says to me (in tones) like an organ,
Truly, to Him is our return: Rumi, The Beloved.

world13

13. So are our opinions of people, as this is what we see people doing.

world14

14. The Chinese certainly have some quirky quotes, but they always hit home: Plant more Trees.

world15

15. So, remember to be curious and question what you think you can see or are told about our beautiful planet, or the above statement may be true.

We have the opportunity each day to do something about the planet, is it because we do not have the faith and certainty that what we believe is worthwhile or is necessarily true. It’s time to stand up for it.

Namaste until next time, my dear friends.

I will walk by Faith!!

I am revisiting 15 Things You Should Give Up to Be Happy – An Inspiring Guide to Discovering Effortless Joy by Luminita D. Saviuc, AKA The Purpose Fairy: Here’s the list. I opened the book to the section on Chapter 7 – Give up complaining: I thought for a moment about turning to another page but realised that this was meant to be the subject of todays blog, to have some faith in life. Luminita likes quotes, as I do and here is the one that opens the chapter:

People who never achieve happiness are the ones who complain

whenever they’re awake, and whenever they’re asleep.

they are thinking about that to complain about tomorrow – Adam Zimbler

So how do tyou say don’t complain 15 different ways – let’s have a look:

complain1.jpeg

1. My friends and I tried this for 30 days once, the furtherest anyone made it was 5 days, and they were probably lying.

complain2

You’re not a jar of Nutella

What am I writing about with a title like that? It’s a feisty one. I recieved Danielle LaPortes Free and Clear process – It’s about what are you going to stop doing, I write something everyday in my 2017 Desire Map Daily Planner and it is not that easy some days ten months in. I spoke to my Activation  buddy heather about who stated, why would you do that, I think that if you want new stuff/time in your life that you have to remove old stuff to get the space for the new stuff, lot’s of stuff, huh.

So I put stop doing things quotes in google images and from the result there is not a lot of focus on this over time, there were about thirty versions of three quotes, lets see if you can guess which ones they were of the following fifteen I have chosen:

1. What in you life do you do because you have always done it? When did people stop appreciating you for it. Over to you, you know what to do.
