The Life you’ve always Wanted!!

I picked up Marc and Angel Chernoff’s majestic book 1000+ Little Things Happy Successful People Do Differently this morning and flipped it open to a page, this is how I read ot and it gave my the Passion section. indeed it was a list of Passion questions to make you think: Here they are :

  1. What will you never give up On?
  2. Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing?
  3. What activities make you lose track of time
  4. What one thing have you not done that you really want to do? What’s holding you back?
  5. What fascinates you?
  6. What is something you would hate to go without for a day?
  7. What’s something you would do every day if you could?
  8. Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing?
  9. At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
  10. What would you do differently if you know nobody would judge you?

Great questions to bring your passion alive, methinks. But now its time to take a passionate journey:

Note to Self, You Deserve This!!

You do not have to be good,

You do not have to walk on your knees

for a hundred miles through the desert repenting

You only have to let the soft animal of your body

Love what it Loves – Mary Oliver

Taken from the Deserving Chapter in Danielle LaPorte’s brilliant workbook, The Desire Map, the first page ends with Deserving and Worthiness – these are the notions that get to the pulse of our consciousness and self-esteem.

What do you believe you deserve in life,, and where did those beliefs come from, how old were you when you made these decisions? Lets go on a journey  into what we deserve in our lives:

deserve1

1. For those who thought atheism was a new invention, Robert Green “Bob” Ingersoll (August 11, 1833 – July 21, 1899) was an American lawyer, a Civil War veteran, political leader, and orator of the United States during the Golden Age of Free Thought, noted for his broad range of culture and his defense of agnosticism. He was nicknamed “The Great Agnostic“.

deserve2

2. Remember, It’s their stuff not yours, go on with those deserving of your company: Bad Company.

deserve3

3. They make you pick up and dispose of dog poo, don’t not do the same for your relationships.

deserve4

4. Written 2,300 years ago, this quote on dignity still rings true in our  instant gratification society, do not hand out honours in your life cheaply: Greatest Love of All.

deserve5

5. Remember, if the door doesn’t open, it’s not meant for you, you deserve better.

deserve6

6. You keep throwing yourself against that wall, because your head tells you too. It takes a while to hear your heart whispering, No darling, this one’s not for you:Wake Up.

deserve7

7. Don’t give into behaviour that belittles a relationship, stay inside the strength of your character.

deserve8

8. I think they left be out of this quote, I’m a proofreader by trade. There are theories that the gut is your second brain, I guess I kind of believe that: Trust Your Gut.

deserve9

9. Look in the mirror, there’s your saviour, you can do it!!

deserve10

10. If you are their option B or C, time to move on: Options.

deserve11

11. I am starting to lead Sacred Love workshops, the ability to tell those sacred stories that you keep for that special person, they may be good or bad, but you know what I am talking about.

deserve12.jpeg

12. We are deserving in every language and culture on the planet: Dan Balan.

deserve13

13. You deserve this, rekindle that light within you.

deserve14

14. Remember when handing the love out, the first place it need to exist is in the person giving it, Respect thyself: Respect.

deserve15

15. And finally stencil this on your psyche and perhaps put it on the fridge, you deserve it.

You deserve: eye contact, smiles in the morning, food made with pure intention, clean drinking water – fresh air, Hello, Please, Thankyou, time to think about it,  a chance to show what you are made of, a second chance, an education, health care, including dental, multiple orgasms, weekends off, eight hours of sleep, play before work, to change your mind, to say no, to say yes, to have your deepest needs met, to be seen and to be loved for who you really are. Like Water in the Desert!!

I took part in an eldership ceremony yesterday, my friend Gabriella requested to be admitted into the tribe of elders in our community. We sang her into the room with the first verse of Amazing Grace, it was the only one we all knew. Then we gave her our own personal blessing and welcomed her into her new role.

It was extremely moving and I thought I would write about Eldership today as I am 63 since last Monday I have the right to do this as I hold myself as an elder too. I looked up Eldership quotes and it seems you have to be a Christian to become one out there in the big, wide , world. This was not how Gabby or I hold Eldership so the quotes for today come from a different space, leadership in one’s community.

Lets us journey down the Eldership path:

elder1.jpeg

1. John Quincy Adams  – July 11, 1767 – February 23, 1848) was an American statesman who served as a diplomat, United States Senator, member of the House of Representatives, and was the sixth President of the United States from 1825 to 1829. He was a member of the Federalist, Democratic-Republican, National Republican, and later the Anti-Masonic and Whig parties, thats a lot of parties.. He was the son of President John Adams and Abigail Adams and thus contributed to the formation of the Adams political family. He served as a leader for his whole life.

elder2

2. To me eldership does not get handed to you just because of your age. This statement from Gandhi is more to the point of why you do: Be the Change.

elder3

3. These are the wise things I hope that I pass on as an elder in my community.

elder4

4. As elders you will have made many mistakes in your life, the wisdom bit is how you tell the people you are advising to deal with them: Learning from your Mistakes.

elder5

5. And remember red stands out more than white, no drab fare for the elders of the world.

elder6

6. Winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, Albert lived to the ripe old age of 90. He was 77 when he won his Nobel Prize, an elder leading by example: Lead by Example.

elder7.jpeg

7. They say hate will never solve anything. To me negativity is a form of hate. People do not come to their elders for negativity.

der8

8. This reminds me of the two wolves story for some reason, that it depends on which story you are telling yourself that counts: Making Progress.

elder9

9. By the time we reach Eldership I’m sure we have covered all of these.

elder10

10. The cute quote of the day, fairy penguins, Aaw: The Penguin Song.

elder11

11. Essence is on there, The essence that you live through your life may grant you Eldership, and then again maybe not.

elder12

12. There are often times during our lives that our abilities seem to slip to a level that we later regret, they can become wise stories to tell as elders so others don’t make the same mistakes: Talking to Strangers.

elder13

13. Eldership is in pointing out that it’s hard to be somewhere else than where you are.

elder14

14. Sometimes Eldership is not words, it is just holding the space with silence allowing the others to work out what they need too: Some Eldership words from Alan.

elder15

15. Yes, even Elders are novices at that exact point of time, the new age they are.

Enjoy the little things in life because one day you will look back and realise they were the big things. I love the song from little things big things grow, such as Eldership.

Namaste until next time, my dear friends.

Forgive yourself for not Knowing!!

I was about to continue reading Danielle LaPorte’s magnificent book White Hot Truth when I discovered I had finished it and what remained was the index, I loved this book so much I considered reading it anyway. here is a link to Danielle’s page so you can get this book: Clarity for your life. I have been choosing subjects out of the book for my blogs as I have been reading it over the last couple of weeks. In the last few pages Danielle talks about Self-Compassion, I love this subject so that is what we will discuss today. Let’s walk down this sacred path:

selfc1

1. I am in a year long training program called the Activators training program which is to have you live from Essence during your days. Katie’s quote relates to what we practice on a daily basis.

selfc2

2. Why is this happening to me? I was discussing how does one have integrity with my mentor yesterday and this subject came up. That how powerfully you could be in the moment was your level of integrity: Divinity.

selfc3

3. At times in our life we need to be sad, angry even extremely pissed off. And yes, that is good for us.

selfc4

4. Coco Chanel used to talk about wearing more than one string of pearls. Why wear one if you can wear two, or something to that effect. I think that one string of pearls is just fine. But that’s because my pearls are black, hers were white. How many strings of self compassion pearls are you willing to grant yourself: String of Pearls

selfc5

5. Do you feel that, the rising of the sun within’s rays. That’s called transformation.

selfc6

6. Time to be that goody two shoes you have always wanted to be. Service, Kindness, Love, Generosity, etc.etc.etc: Try.

selfc7

7. Activators, this is your lesson for today.

selfc8

8. Big hug for yourself, make sure you have given consent: Pretty Hurts.

selfc9

9. Set your controls for the heart of the sun. no hold on, turn around and set them for your heart.

selfc10

10. You, yourself, the face in the mirror, the one they are talking too, they’re included: Seeing the Goodness.

selfc11

11. I am always talking to myself, I think everybody does. it takes something to turn that voice down. Be it a daily meditation practice like loving kindness, I find that having a practice changes the quality of the message to self love.

selfc12

12. Getting to know and accepting yourself, beautiful: F**king Perfect.

selfc13

13. Gautama Buddha (c. 563 BCE/480 BCE – c. 483 BCE/400 BCE), also known as Siddhārtha Gautama , Shakyamuni Buddha or simply the Buddha, after the title of Buddha, was an ascetic (śramaṇa) and sage, on whose teachings Buddhism was founded. He is believed to have lived and taught mostly in the eastern part of ancient India sometime between the sixth and fourth centuries.

Gautama taught a Middle Way between sensual indulgence and the severe asceticism found in the śramaṇa movement common in his region.

selfc14

14. Time to accept so you can create space for something else, your life is worth a great deal more than that perceived negative thought you just had: Firework.

selfc15

15. Remember having to take permission slips to school when you went on school excursions. Guess what, It’s your turn to write them for yourself, make them beautiful.

As Danielle finishes her book – May your beauty dawn on you. May your pure faith light the way. May all be so blessed. And hey… slow down if you need to, but don’t ever stop.

Namaste until next time my dear friends

Forever is only the Beginning!!

You can trust the promise of this opening: Unfurl yourself into the grace of beginning. That is at one with your life’s desire – John O’donohue”

If you do not know who John O’Donohue is check out his brilliant book on Anam Cara, celtic for soul friend. My friend Em graced me with declaring me one of her Anam Cara’s – I had not heard the term or distinction until that moment but it explained a lot of people in my life when I researched it a bit. Begin to check out where these people are in your life because you are important, you are incredible, you are loved, your presence is needed here.

You can have a new beginning in every moment, let’s take a journey through them:

beg1

1. We get to add the colour to the film of our lives.

beg2

Aurelius was a Roman emperor in the second century. He was also one of the wisest men to have lived on our planet and wrote words that are read today still: Today my life Begins.

beg3

3. We are at the starting line of life moment to moment, they have fired the gun, time to go.

beg4

4. Imagine if we saw the universe instead of blue or grey skies, it would alter or perception of what is possible in life pretty quickly: You Can’t Touch This.

beg5

5. Get all that you know out of your head, and then you can begin anew, a fresh beginning.

beg6

6. The More effort you put in, the easier it will become. It eventually will flow as you want it to: Push It.

beg7

7. Seneca the Younger (c. 4 BC – AD 65), fully Lucius Annaeus Seneca and also known simply as Seneca , was a Roman Stoic/philosopher, statesman, dramatist, and—in one work—humorist of the Silver Age of Latin literature. Unfortunately he was born in the time of the Roman emperor Nero, the fiddle as rome burned one who made him take is own life for being a suspect in an assassination attempt.

beg8

8. 4E’s that make a difference on an ongoing basis: Life’s what you make It.

beg9

9. definitely the most well known of the quotes I have chosen today.

beg10

10. You can’t change the events of the past, may be you can change the effect it has on you by focusing on what can be: Company.

beg11

11. The seed becomes a mighty tree, says it all really.

beg12

12. They make fantasy films about the other possibility. If we get this our lives transform: Song for a new Beginning.

beg13

13. I love the last line. Who are you when you are with people, do you ring a new beginning each time, or is it based on past memories?

beg14

14. Are you prepared to be  pissed off to allow new beginnings on your life. To face that which you thought was unfaceable: Just like a Pill.

beg15

15. And here is a plan for your new beginning.

You deserve – eye contact, smiles in the morning, food made with pure intention, clean drinking water, fresh air, Hello, Please , Thankyou, time to think about it, a chance to show them what you’re made of, a second chance, an education, health care, including dental, multiple orgasms, weekends off, eight hours of sleep, play before work, to change your mind, to say no, to say yes, to have your deepest needs met, to be seen, to be loved for who you really are.

You deserve all of this – and more –  just because you showed up to life.

Namaste until next time, my dear friends.

Every Experience makes you Grow!!!

The four major areas that this occurs for me are my love relationships, my friendships, my adventures, my environment, my health and fitness, my intellectual life, my skills, my spiritual life, my career, my creative life, my family life and my community life. These are my areas of experiences, growth and contribution. Today I would like to discuss how we handle growth in our  lives.

When you watch how young children soak up information, you realise how deeply wired we are to learn and grow. Why does it seem to falter as we grow older? Why can’t we continue to learn and grow until the day we leave this mortal coil. I think we actually do , it’s what we do with  it that makes the difference. Lets take a journey down the growth path over the years:

growth1

1. After publishing four bestselling books in five years, Sarah Allen took a hiatus when she was diagnosed with late-stage breast cancer at age 39. She returned to writing with her 2014 bestselling Lost Lake. She is now in remission. In 2015, she revisited the popular setting of her first book..

growth2

2. I don’t look the same as when I was expelled from Eaglehawk High School  in 1972 for not attending and generally not giving a toss about formal education. Also the journey I have taken since those days into education that makes a difference means that I have grown exponentially since those days long ago: Try Everything.

growth3

3. Remember when that door didn’t open for you last year. That was meant to happen so that you can be where you are now.

growth4

4. Your growth is up to you, not the stories of others. All the great people on the planet got there listening to their stories, not the tales of others: My Story.

growth5

5. Ralph Waldo Emerson was an American essayist, lecturer, and poet who led the transcendentalist movement of the mid-19th century. He was seen as a champion of individualism and a prescient critic of the countervailing pressures of society.

growth6

6. Differents stages in life that that will have you end up in a powerful place: Rest of my Life.

growth7

7. There’s a scene in a good or bad Steve Martin film called Parenthood where his family is going apeshit and the screen becomes like a roll coaster ride. He rides it for a while then life begins to flow again.

growth8

8. The author of the inspiring The Monk who sold his Ferrari, Robin Sharma’s words and life speaks of the possibility of having gorgeous in our lives: Gorgeous.

growth9

9. Founder of the Firestone Tyre company Harvey wrote a book way back in 1926 called Men of Rubber: The Story of Business. Firestone, Henry Ford, and Thomas Edison were generally considered the three leaders in American industry at the time, and often worked and vacationed together. All three were part of a very exclusive group titled “The Millionaires’ Club.”

growth10

10. Rooting means different things in different parts of the world. here in my hometown of Melbourne , Australia rooting has an entirely different sexual meaning: Rooting for You.

growth11

11. I have a friend who would be considered a perfectionist, she doesn’t start at least half of her projects due to this, Its Growth not perfection that gets things done.

growth12

12. Stuck at the starting gates, they got nothing done: Pompeii.

growth13

13. Seeds need sun and wind and rain to become trees, so do we humans.

growth14

14. A Useful resource in this area is Wayne Dyer’s book Excuses Begone: Excuses Begone.

growth15

15. 300 metre trees were once but mere seeds, their growth is pure evidence of life.

These twelve areas are blueprints for the soul, the opportunity to feel different every day you wake up, to have a 1,000 litres of vitality versus 100 in your life by taking on growth each day.

Namaste until we meet again, my dear friends.

If only our Eyes saw Souls!!

Deep positivity means that you have Faith that you’ll be okay, no matter what happens. Not if it all works out for you in the end. Not if you get what you want when you think you should get it. No matter what. Deep positivity knows that Life will have your back even when you don’t manifest what you want: Danielle LaPorte, White Hot Truth.

Want do you want in your life, is is just for your benefit or the benefit of others? I recently did an exercise where one of the most powerful questions was what did I have to give to society, I answered it with my words and my wisdom, when you get to 62, 63 next Monday you have a fair bit of both.

So I put Deep Positivity in Google Images and the following quotes are what caught my eye, let’s journey:

It has raised him from the savage to the civilized state in life. Man’s thought rules the world. The power to think is man’s most precious right and his proudest privilege. How are you going to use this skill: Always on my Mind.

dp5

5. I recently have been working on a database of people who are considered gurus and thought leaders by our society. The amazing thing about these people is that they were just ordinary folk until they discovered their why in life.

dp6

I wear my letters on my front!!

Just got back from a weekend retreat with my mentor Arion Light: The Activation School. We never know what new surprising empowerment will be served up. This weekend it was an initiation. So what does society define an initiation as, here’s the Google definition:

initiation
noun
  1. 1.
the action of admitting someone into a society or group, typically with a ritual.
    “rituals of initiation”
    synonyms: beginning, starting, commencement

  2. 2.
    the action of beginning something.
    “the initiation of legal proceedings”
    synonyms: introduceadmitletinductinstallinstateincorporateordaininvestenlistenrolrecruit, sign up, swear in;

    convert

I think ordain is the closest to what I felt on the weekend because it felt like being introduced to a whole new cut at life. So how has society commented on the  noble art of initiation over the years, let’s have a look:

    int1

    1. It is, or it isn’t: why would you choose the latter, yet I know I do. Inition helped me greatly with hanging around with it is.

    int2
