What’s Left Unsaid, Says It All!!

Do you make judgements about people and withhold what you truly believe? Remember that not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced. Bruce Lee once said that “Always be yourself and have faith in yourself. Do not go out and look for a successful personality and try to duplicate it.”

One way that is common these days of saying this is to speak your truth, how many New Years Resolutions will be I will speak my truth this year. What has the world said about this quirky term, to speak your truth, let’s have a look:

syt1

1. People have often be scared out of doing this by people they see as braggarts thinking that you have to be over the top when sharing your truth, this is not the case for everybody, each of us is unique in our own way.

syt2

2. Author of the iconic book “Women who run with the Wolves”, Clarissa points out what you become in touch with by speaking your truth: Speak Life.

syt3

3. If there were not people who took this on, not much would change on the planet as people are addicted to being comfortable with what’s so.

syt4

4. My proofreading background seems to think they left a word out of this quote, where do you think it is and which word is it, still a powerful request: Halo.

syt5

5. Feel the tremors, time to speak up!!

syt6

6. What would the great plays sound like if you left out half the lines, your truth is your great play: Not Afraid.

syt7

7. Unnecessary things like worrying about judgements by others, make 2018 the best season of your life.

syt8

8. Your truth does not have to taste bitter, in fact, it can taste like your favourite food: Falling Slowly

syt9

9. The man who had three conversations with God states that your truth can ooze peace.

syt10

10. A few other practices that may come in handy as you change your world and for others: Live your Life.

syt11

11. Speaking your truth does not mean you have to become arrogant towards others, in fact, it means that listening to others is the best way to recruit them to your cause.

syt12

12. Go where your heart leads you, says it all really: Your Heart will lead you Home.

syt13

13. What I love about Caroline Myss is that she definitely speaks her truth, especially to participants in her seminars who are clearly not. I have had the honour of experiencing this twice.

syt14

14.Rachel Naomi Ramen answered the question – How does curing differ from healing?

Basically curing is about repair and healing is about growth. So curing is something we do to others and healing something we evoke in others. Curing happens at the level of the body and leads to a re-normalization of physiology. Healing happens at the level of the person and involves an evolution and refinement of the individual, a deepening of the capacity for emotional life, mental life and spiritual life¾the furthering of personal wholeness and not physical health. Healing promotes the quality of life and the capacity to engage with life: Who You Really Are.
syt15
15. I call it my tribe, they could be anywhere. I found a new one at the NYE chanting event I attended a few days ago.
“Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight, or any experience that reveals the human spirit.” –E.E. Cummings
Music comes from the magnificent movie Once, Beyonce, Eminem, The Tigger Movie and several lesser known luminaries.
Namaste until next time, my dear friends.

Be a Hero for a Better World.

It’s Christmas day here in Melbourne, Australia where I live, a day for spending with your familes and friends, and partaking in too much food and drink if you are lucky. But what if you are not, what gives you hope on days like this? For years I have preferred relating to hope as an acronym – H.O.P.E. = Helping Other People Evolve.

If you relate to hope in this manner it dramatically changes how you see the world on a daily basis: it changes from whats in it for me to what can I contribute to make the world a better place. So what has been written about this subject over time, let’s have a look on this festive day:

hope1

1. Thinking about what we still utilise from the years of data we learnt at school supports this statement when we deal with our friends and family on a day to day basis.

Hope2

2. Don’t put off helping others via the excuse they are not the right person, if they are in your field of view they are definitely the one: You’re the One that I Want.

hope3

3. Sometimes when life becomes frantic in our technology driven world, we forget this koan from Mahatma – to look outside ourselves and our petty problems.

hope4

4. Audrey Hepburn,  was a British actress, model, dancer and humanitarian. Recognised as a film and fashion icon, Hepburn was active during Hollywood’s Golden Age. She was ranked by the American Film Institute as the third-greatest female screen legend in Golden Age Hollywood and was inducted into the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame appeared in fewer films as her life went on, devoting much of her later life to UNICEF. She had contributed to the organisation since 1954, then worked in some of the poorest communities of Africa, South America and Asia between 1988 and 1992. She was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in recognition of her work as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in December 1992. A month later, Hepburn died of appendiceal cancer at her home in Switzerland at the age of 63: Moon River.

hope5

5. Tenzin Gyatso, His Holiness, The Prince of Peace, The 14th Dalai Lama is known by many names but in each if his incarnations he is loved by all for how he is helping humankind evolve into a better place.

hope6

6. Imagine standing at the edge of a shimmering lake. You pick up a stone and skim it across the water. As soon as the stone touches the surface of the water, a ripple forms that becomes larger and larger. The ripple effect is so much greater than the original impact formed by the single stone. The water ripples that surround your stone demonstrate the effects or impacts of your effort: Ripple Effect.

hope7

7. Helping other people evolve has  nothing to do with changing them as Steve Maraboli point out in this lovely quote.

hope9.jpg

8. Putting it all in perspective, really: Dear Future Husband.

hope10

9. Christ wasn’t a christian , really we made it all up, he was a prince of love. Don’t go to church , do this instead.

hope11

10. How do we help others evolve, Gloria has a great suggestion: Wrong Song.

hope12

11. And from the world’s most prodigious philosopher, Ms. Unknown something to definitely not do to help someone evolve.

hope13

12. I don’t know what would happen if you said this to someone to help them evolve, it would heavily depend on your relationship I think: Spending My Time.

hope14

13. It may be as detailed as a one day workshop or as simple as a hug.

hope15

14. Emotions and Feelings impress me much more than your bank balance: Humble Me.

hope16

15. This is why Nelson Mandela forgave his guards before he left Robin Island prison.

Helping a person will not necessarily change the world , but it will change the world for that person. Remember from little things, big things grow.

Namaste until next time my dear friends, Seasons greetings.

I am not afraid of Storms!!

Storms could be another way of relating to our weaknesses, why do we spend so much time thinking about what we cannot do aka our percieved weaknesses versus what are our strengths. The effect that weaknesses have on us are one of the takeaways in Timothy Ferriss’s great book Tools of Titans: His website.  Ferriss has been listed as one of Fast Company‘s “Most Innovative Business People,” one of Forbes‘s “Names You Need to Know,” and one of Fortune‘s “40 under 40.” He is an early-stage technology investor/advisor (Uber, Facebook, Shopify, Duolingo, Alibaba, and 50+ others) and the author of four #1 New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestsellers, including The 4-Hour Workweek and his latest, Tools of Titans: The Tactics, Routines, and Habits of Billionaires, Icons, and World-Class Performers. The Observer and other media have called Tim “the Oprah of audio” due to the influence of The Tim Ferriss Show podcast, which has exceeded 100 million downloads and has been selected for “Best of iTunes” three years running.

What influence can dealing with our weaknesses have on our day to day life, lets see what society says:

weak1

1.Seneca the Younger (c. 4 BC – AD 65), fully Lucius Annaeus Seneca and also known simply as Seneca , was a Roman Stoic philosopher, statesman, dramatist, and—in one work—humorist of the Silver Age of Latin literature.

Seneca was born in Cordoba in Hispania, and raised in Rome, where he was trained in rhetoric and philosophy. He was a tutor and later advisor to emperor Nero. He was forced to take his own life for alleged complicity in the Pisonian conspiracy to assassinate Nero, in which he was likely to have been innocent.

weak2

2. That feeling when you wake up and go but I didn’t do that, I have no idea how I will survive…, you know what I mean, Its in these moments you must get back to self love and relate to what you have done that are your moments of greatness: The Greatest.

weak3

3. Susan Gale is an author who has this one quote on Goodreads, All I Ever Needed Was The One is the heartfelt love life story of a late bloom baby boom cougar in search of genuine cupid chemistry and not a beta male mate. It’s about a rare old fashioned lady who finally settles down for the chemical pheromone reaction of true love and not a politically correct laundry list of economically desirable shortcomings. A tale spanning innocent bliss, adult discovery and sentimental mid life, this romantic comedy is the ultimate storybook of waiting for Mr. Right or finding at long last love.

weak4

4. This makes me think of the quote I left out, “A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new. Albert Einstein”: Starman.

weak5

5. With the  light comes the dark, learn about both  or the one you forget will snak up on you and slam you to the ground.

weak6

6. Abundance does not just relate to how much money you have, It’s also in those moments when you get fully in touch with your emotions , both types, positive and so called negative: He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother.

weak7

7. Love is not a Mills and Boon script, it includes the above as well.

weak8

8. When did not showing your emotions become a so called show of strength: Crying.

weak9

9. How often do we need to do reality checks versus how we hope it will be?

weak10

10. Emerson wrote on a number of subjects, never espousing fixed philosophical tenets, but developing certain ideas such as individuality, freedom, the ability for mankind to realize almost anything, and the relationship between the soul and the surrounding world. Emerson’s “nature” was more philosophical than naturalistic: “Philosophically considered, the universe is composed of Nature and the Soul”. Emerson is one of several figures who “took a more pantheist or pandeist approach by rejecting views of God as separate from the world: Feels

weak11

11. Keep putting your feet in front of each other, your soul is listening.

weak12

12. Thomas Edison’s teachers said he was “too stupid to learn anything.” He was fired from his first two jobs for being “non-productive.” As an inventor, Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. When a reporter asked, “How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?”Edison replied, “I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps.”: Don’t Give Up.

weak13

13. Go out and find some bumpy roads so you know what it takes.

weak14

14. The remainder of this quote is “True power is within and is available to you now, certainly changes the outcome doesn’t it: The Show must Go On.

weak15

15. To finish, this great quote from Leonardo. Your weaknesses have the ability to become your strengths.

Managing Procrastination, Predicting the Future, and Finding Happiness – Tim Urban can be found on Tom’s podcast, here is the link Wordly advice on the path to Happiness. It’s quite long, but then again great conversations are those ones you have where time is irrelevant.

Music is from the current time with Sia to the 60’s with the Hollies witha great duet by K. D. Laing and Roy Orbison thrown in.

Namaste until next time my dear friends.

The most Precious Treasure of Mine!!

In terms of your stuff (material possessions) and your lifestyle (adventure, education, time, interests) what do you hold most precious?

Scan your home, all that you own etc.. Then, review your schedule, your hobbies, your career, your favourite activities and the perks of your life and identify your most precious things. (i.e. your phone, car, heirlooms, favourite shoes, most expensive jumper, artwork, your house, your vacations, all of your Air Mile points, your stellar reputation, your free time, your network of amazing professionals, your summer, your money in your rainy day account, your highly curated music collection, your make-up, your purse or wallet, your best winter coat, your bed or couch, your website…)

What would give you acute panic to part with? What are you loath to let go of? What do you think you could not live without?

This is Step 1 in part 2 of  Danielle LaPorte’s awesome review of the year called Free and Clear, It’s called your most precious things: All Danielle’s good stuff.

Her final question in this part of the review is – Without all the stuff, and the perks, and the things you’ve worked for…What’s your most precious thing? (Hint: You and what only you can give to the world.)

So what does the world say about preciousness, is it dark like Gollum’s precious in Lord of the Rings or light like the sound of your children laughing with each other, let’s have a look.

precious1

1. What would life be like if every day was exactly the same, they made a movie about it called Groundhog Day, I like it a lot.

precious2

2. Now here is a person I didn’t dream of that I would be using in regard to preciousness, but it points to the power of the love of our children: When I’m Gone.

precious3

3. And also remember to include yourself in this.

precious4

4. A beautiful quote from Robert Ludlum an American author of 27 thriller novels, best known as the creator of Jason Bourne from the original The Bourne Trilogy series. The number of copies of his books in print is estimated between 290 million and 500 million. They have been published in 33 languages and 40 countries: Human.

precious5

5. You can always make more money, but you can never get the time and attention back, it is infinitely precious, do not stop giving it if you can.

precious6

6. Family, friends, life experiences, this is what you remember, and what do they all have in common? Yes. that’s right, time: If today was the last day in my life!!

precious7

7. Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh is a global spiritual leader, poet and peace activist, revered around the world for his powerful teachings and bestselling writings on mindfulness and peace. This is a beautiful piece of his preciousness.

precious8

8. We often forget this and give in to the judgments our mind throws at us, precious love doesn’t work that way: A Woman’s Heart.

precious9

9. What a great picture of those times in our lives when preciousness of friendship is about how much we can play together.

precious10

10 Pick your favourite, beautiful list: Love Song.

precious11

11. My mother has not eaten for three months, she has decided to leave us. At the final session of the course, I was doing last night we were asked to share what was the most remarkable thing of essence that had occurred in the six week period. I got up and shared it was the fact my three siblings and I had communicated for every single day of that period, love you guys.

precious12

12. Please don’t wait for the above situation before you realise the importance of the people who chose to live this time in with you: Family Times.

precious13

13. I think this has happened to me, I must remember to inhale when I am in her presence.

precious14

14. There are only 24 hours in a day, remember to use it wisely. It’s the same amount as Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela and Malala had and have: Whiskey Lullaby.

precious15.jpg

15. And this is the most precious moment of our lives.

So step 2 asks you Imagine giving away hundred’s of your most precious things. They would have it and you wouldn’t. Imagine giving it away freely. With a smile to anyone and everyone.

How does that feel? Terrifying? heavy with Guilt? Panicky? Pissed right off? Energising? Releived. My answer to the most Precious Thing is having Love and Respect for All, Everyone Included becoming the world paradigm.

Music includes the partnership of Hitler and Enimem, a Steve Jobs vignette, Celtic Women and Allison Krause with Brad Paisley

Passion meets Compassion!!

Your karass is out there. You are already a part of it. Your life has great meaning, and if you become conscious of it, it speeds up the process. When the members of a karass know that others exist, something activates and the karass gets organised and can operate more efficiently. You may not know yet which karass you’re in, but of you do, consider whether you know who’s in your karass. See if you can find even one person who is serving the same purpose as you./ Reach out to these people. Make a connection. Acknowledge your shared vision. These people are not your competition. They are your allies. If we all do this , perhaps we can serve our purpose more effectively.

This is the hero’s practice in the Committ to Illuminating the Truth in Lissa Rankin’s excellent book The Anatomy of a Calling.

The term karass comes from Kurt Vonnegut’s book Cat’s Cradle. A karass is a group of incarnated beings whose job it is to bring into existence one of God’s holy ideas, pretty neat, huh.

So lets have a look at what society says about finding your purpose:

cp1

1. from a man who definitely found his then went about giving it away to the world, Pablo Picasso gets it pretty right as to what finding your purpose means.

cp2

2. That is why you need to find your karass, they will allow you your rest and then get you back on track: Don’t Give Up.

cp3

3. Don’t have a job, have the profession that is your purpose, your passion.

cp4

4. False slogans and statements can get in the way of your purpose, it didn’t for Martin Luther King: I have a Dream.

cp5

5. Abraham Harold Maslow was an American psychologist who was best known for creating Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, a theory of psychological health predicated on fulfilling innate human needs in priority, culminating in self-actualization. This is the next step after self-actualisation.

cp6

6. Remember those things you didn’t complete, they were’nt your passion: Change.

cp7

7. My passion is to integrate Love and Respect for All, Everyone Included, what the purpose is I am yet to find.

cp8

8. Dostoyevsky’s literary works explore human psychology in the troubled political, social, and spiritual atmospheres of 19th-century Russia, and engage with a variety of realistic philosophical and religious themes. A hard period to stay alive in , Dostoyevsky definitely found something to live for through his writing: A Great Big World

cp9

9. One of the primary tasks this time in, why did you choose to be born this time around? When found out, go for it with all of your might.

cp10

10. Nothing and nobody to compare yourself to when you live from purpose: Purpose.

cp11

11. A question , How many of you found your purpose through learning the times tables?

cp12

12. Especially the recipes taught as curriculums via the education system: I like me Better.

cp13

13. Indigenous wisdom worth listening to.

cp14.

14. Support people as they strive for their purpose, it can be a tough journey: As you walk through the Storm.

cp15

15. And finally remember all the great purposes have  never  been about ourselves.

The bond between members of a karass runs deep and pure. Their lives fit together in service to their shared spiritual purpose, go out there and finf and help build your karass.

The Music comes from the 60’s, Prince, John Legend, Justin beiber and there is also 5 minutes of Martin Luther King’s genius/

Namaste, until next time, my dear friends.

You have my Whole Heart!!

My, how music has changed. I recieved a post in my news feed thta told me I had listened to 24,000 minutes and 192 artists via Spotify and made recommendations to artists I might like in 2018 based on  who I had listened to in 2017.

To me, music is a very personal thing. As the blogs title says You have my whole heart, I think that is what our favourite music has too, our whole heart and probably our soul as well. My taste in music is very ecelectic, and yes I like both types of music as well, country and western as well as everything from freeform jazz to pop diva’s, a bit of Beyonce will lift your spirits any day of the week.

How many ways can we say we love our music, let’s have a look:

muse1

1. Having been involved in the Melbourne music scene for 40 something years quite a few of my Facebook friends are musiciaans I have come across on this journey. Each is an artist in their own right.

muse2

2. The band’s name is derived from a passage from the Virginia Woolf story “The Mark on the Wall”, which reads, “I wish I could hit upon a pleasant track of thought, a track indirectly reflecting credit upon myself, for those are the pleasantest thoughts, and very frequent even in the minds of modest mouse-coloured people, who believe genuinely that they dislike to hear their own praises: The World at Large.

muse3

3. Due to my age I also remember cassette tapes we burnt for our friends  which were replaced by CD’s, then MP3’s and now USB stick playlists of a few thousand songs.

muse4

4. I know some of my deepest romantic flings have been based on a similar taste in music: Fallin’.

muse5

5. 401 years since his death at the relatively young age of 52, the bard hits the spot on music’s influence.

muse6

6. Have you found your love wordsmith: I will always love You.

muse7

7. Time after Time does this for me,  different versions included.

muse8

8. And then there are the songs you hear when this happens to you, and they will never be the same again: All of Me.

muse9

9. Sums up what music  means to me really

.muse10

10. What genre do you unleash your rhythmes to: I want your Love.

muse11

11. As Joni Mitchell so prophetically sang, You turn me on, I’m a radio.

muse12

12. I have a musician friend who has made his living from it for over 30 years, he can sing in seven languages and play 10 instruments, and he will also wear lederhosen to fulfil the last statement of this quote: Yalla.Yalla.

muse13

13. And then it becomes our song.

muse14

14. The joy of childhood when half of us our going to be the next big thing: Can you feel the Love Tonight.

muse15

15. My addiction, Spotify, Applemusic, 49,000 songs on Itunes, Mixcloud, Soundcloud, enough said..

There are as many styles of  music as there are cultures in the world. Your mission if you accept it is to study a  new culture a month and learn to appreciate their music as well.

The Music, Whitney Houton, The Lion King, local Melbourne middle eastern band Yalla, Modest Mouse and a must watch Chic with the Soul Train disco dancers.

Namaste until next time, my dear friends.

We would astound Ourselves!!

Are you doing what you are uniquely capable of, What you Feel you were placed Here on Earth to Do? Can you be replaced?

People often think its about the money, If I do that I will answer my abundance prayer. But a great place to look is, are you interchangeable, are you using your unique abilities that make you the special one. Tim Ferriss uses a philosophy of ,Am I saying Hell Yeah about something: If not he says no. In the  Konmari decluttering method the only things that survive are those that bring you joy, so what is your unique gift to the world:

unique1

1. So, So, So, So, So, So…..Got the message?

unique2

2. Across the world, each culture has its own definition of beautiful, you fir in somewhere: Perfect.

unique3

3. In an interview with comedian Paul Mecurio, Tyson offered his definition of spirituality: “For me, when I say spiritual, I’m referring to a feeling you would have that connects you to the universe in a way that it may defy simple vocabulary. We think about the universe as an intellectual playground, which it surely is, but the moment you learn something that touches an emotion rather than just something intellectual, I would call that a spiritual encounter with the universe.” Tyson has argued that many great historical scientists’ belief in intelligent design limited their scientific inquiries, to the detriment of the advance of scientific knowledge.

unique4

4. I was watching the TV doco series the 1990’s about technology when browsers where first developed for the internet, before that it has been the playground of scientific nerds, that is less that 30 years ago. People did not usedto wake up and check their Iphones, amazing: Never Be Like You.

unique5

5. All their fantasies, talk to them like they are real, why can’t they be Ed Sheeran or Adele.

unique6

6. Remember, they chose you because they knew you were the right ones to prepare them for their unique bright future: Everyone is Different!!

unique7

7. To learn what you’re best at, or what you’re most passionate about, you have to throw a lot against the wall.

Unique8

8. That which is not, can you imagine that?,or what they are singing about in this song: Being Kind.

unique9

9. The more we walk towards community, the more powerful our uniqueness becomes as we play our unique role in creatig it, without the I.

unique10

10. One of the more stranger things I have read of HHDL: Problem.

unique11

11. What is the definition of Unique, anyway:

u·nique

/yo͞oˈnēk/

noun

  • 1. a unique person or thing.

adjective

  • 1. being the only one of its kind; unlike anything else: “the situation was unique in modern politics” synonyms: distinctive, distinct, individual, special, idiosyncratic, single, sole, lone, unrepeated, unrepeatable, solitary, exclusive, rare, uncommon, unusual, sui generis, one-off, one-of-a-kind, once-in-a-lifetime, one-shot

unique12

12. This would make a great mantra to repeat everyday: Whole Lotta Love.

unique13

13. Turn the tap off!!

unique14

14. This is why I have such respect for true teachers, their ability to send each student home with their sense of uniqueness intact is amazing: Believing In Me.

unique15

15. I came across that quote the other day about having the same 24 hours as HHDL, Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Malala. It lies on the other side of fear.

So in seeking your uniqueness what blessings have becomes excesses. In excess, most thingstake on the characteristic of their opposite. Pacifists become miltants, freedom fighters become tyrants, Blessings become curses, Help becomes hndrances. More becomes Less. In the midst of overwhelm, is life not showing me exactly what I should subtact, Am I having a breakdown or a breakthrough. Being unique takes work and it is easy to become complacent.

The music today is two kids songs, a 70’s classic from Led Zep and a tribute to  my dad and sister Ruth.

Namste until next time my dear friends.

Fill your Heart with what is Important!!

“I love, accept, and express that I fill myself first so I can heal the world.”  This is the affirmation Steve Sisgold of Whole Body Intelligence,His website got Lissa Rankin to use when she realised her belief system was the following: “You’re selfish and narcisstic if you take care of yourself first. You have no value unless you’re helping others. Your blog audience won’t love you anymore unless you give until you’re depleted. Your mother won’t love you anymore, either.”

This made my stomach turn as I was reading the secind statement, I think it covers some of my beliefs pretty well. Here is the Hero’s practice called Check Your Motives from Lissa’s book an Anatomy of a Calling:

Check Your Motives:

The next time you consider being helpful ir saying yes to service, pause. Get quiet, and ask yourself, “Why am I doing this?” Are you afraid of disappointing someone if you say no? Are you motivated by pity or fear? Will you fear like, “not enough” if you don’t do  it? Are you trying to impress someone? Does it exhaust you to even think about saying yes? If any of these feel true, graciously say no to the opportunity to serve, knowing that you are not just filling yourself first but also protecting yourself from getting caught in a Rescuer/Victim/Persecutor triad, which will lead you to inadvertantly hurt yourself and others.

If, however, you are motivated by surges of love – which generate the impulse to leap out of your chair and say yes, free of any hidden language – go for it! If you’re so far down the spiritual path that there is little “self” to self-sacrifice and you are full to the brim with the desire fir pure service, knowing how fulfilling it is to serve in a clean way, say yes.

Practice this exercise every time you are inclined to serve. This will help you learn to be very discerning about your relationship to service and those you serve, and as a result, you will not only avoid depleting yourself but also expand your capacity for fulfillment and joy.

So how does the world relate to filling ones self up before others, It should be an  interesting journey:

fill1

1. Once you are a bunch of smouldering ashes you are not much use to anyone.

fill2

2. It’s never to late to write your bestseller, that one you don’t tell others about: Your Song.

fill3

3. This is the number one way to stoppbecoming depleted in your life.

fill4

4. The more energy you have and that you shine on the world the more you can give to it: I Gotta Feeling.

fill5

5. The more you hide who you really are, the more harm can be done to you and by you.

fill6

6. From one of TV”s favourite fictional characters comes some practical wisdom about filling yourself first: Love Myself.

fill7.jpg

7. Ask yourself before you say Yes, What would Love Do in this situation?

fill8

8. Heed the warming, rehydrate your soul when it needs it: Take care of Yourself.

fill9

9. Manifexting with Marla, catchy name for a great piece of advice.

fill10

10. Deepak’s friend Oprah has this to say about this , in a much more pragmatic way: When you undervalue what you do, the world will undervalue who you are:Give it UP to Me.

fill12

11. Remember, to help with human rights, yours must be included amongst them.

fill13

12. Might fine advice, R.Z., will help keep one out of the Rescuer/Victim/Persecutor triad: Put a little Love in your Heart.

fill14

13. Remember to complete your Hero’s Journey, not everyone or everything will make ot to the end.

fill15

14. Here in Australia, we have a condition called the tall poppy syndrome. It’s very dangerous for the future of our country: That’s What I Like.

fill16

15. That deep satisfaction has to exist within your soul before there is any chance of another giving it to you.

When you’re motivated by the soul’s yearning rather than the ego’s “not enoughness” giving to others feeds you. Service can be like breathing. You give on the exhale, but the giving itself breathers life into you and you are nourished by the giving. So remember to do the exercise so that you are chosing from love and not depleting your life-force.

Music this week includes Annie Lennox, Al Green and Shakita. Enjoy!!

Namaste until next time , my dear friends

Was going to do another of the 15 things you should give up to be happy today, but picked up the Anatomy of a Calling by another of my faves, Lissa Rankin MD : Check it out here. I opened it to page 120, which had the new questions Lissa was asking her patients after she had realised  medicine wasn’t about 15 minute interviews and doling out medications. Here is the list:

  1. Do you feel lonely, isolated, misunderstood, or disconnected?
  2. If you could break any rule without consequences, what rule would you break?
  3. Are you in a romantic relationship, and if so, are you happy? If not, do you wish you were?
  4. Do you feel like you are in touch with your life’s purpose, fulfilling your divine assignment here on this planet?
  5. Do you feel stressed about money?
  6. Do you feel spiritually connected?
  7. Do you feel free to be your authentic self?

At the moment the one that is a bit out of place for me is question six, do you feel spiritually connected, so that is our subject for today:

spirit1

1. See that is says We are Love, not they are Love. Hard to remember at times.

spirit2

2. I feel I met one of these people recently. I forget to inhale when I am near her: Soul Kind of Feeling.

spiritt3

3. We are magnificent and broken all at the same time, we need to journey through both to contact our soul, it is made up of everything.

spiritt4

4. It’s not often you look across a room and go, wow, what a great mind, yet it is that and their heart that will keep the relationship going: Just the Two of Us.

spiritt5.jpeg

5. Contentious statement, but where else can you be?

spiritt6

6. I brought a book of poetry written by a man who spent a year living in Wild Dog Valley. It is compared to David Whyte, Mary Oliver and John O’Donoghue. Each poem is a powerful vignette, the name: Lucid Nature by Sean O’Carroll: Human Behaviour.

spiritt7

7. Time for a biography as I have no clue who Elizabeth Lesser is, let’s have a look: ELIZABETH LESSER is a bestselling author and the cofounder of Omega Institute, the renowned conference and retreat center located in Rhinebeck, New York. Elizabeth’s first book, The Seeker’s Guide, chronicles her years at Omega and distills lessons learned into a potent guide for growth and healing.

spiritt8

8. Two of my dear friends, Denise and Ed have many of their ex students as Facebook friends. I think thats because they did this , not told them what to learn: That’s what I like.

spiritt9

9. We all want to be love, but have to remember our picture of love is different to every other individual on the planet.

spiritt10

10. What music is on your favourite Spotify playlist: Flash Mob, Ode to Joy.

spiritt11

11. Buddha lived in a time of overt sexism, I sure he meant women as well.

spiritt12

12. I have doubts about people who go away for a week, a month even a year who come back and pass themselves off as spiritual guru’s, it’s for at least a lifetime: Lord Shiva.

spiritt13

13. That thought that keeps returning, It does it for a purpose, when we learn what we have to it will disappear.

spiritt14

14, Amanda Palmer, The Art of Asking, TED talk, what else could this bring to mind: Here it is.

spiritt15.jpg

15. I would call this two souls meeting and creating a very spiritual moment.

Lissa’s new patient intake form was 12 pages long, she says the two most illuminating questions she asked were:

  1. What is your body saying no to?
  2. What does your body need in order to heal?

I think we need to heal our spiritual connection as a priority, writing this has helped me do that.

The music is great, one of the great Australian tracks Soul Kind of Feelings, Lord Shiva anthem, an amazing flash mob version of Ode to Joy, Bjork and the amazing the Art of Asking TED talk by Amanda Palmer.

Namaste until next time, my dear friends.

I am revisiting 15 Things You Should Give Up to Be Happy – An Inspiring Guide to Discovering Effortless Joy by Luminita D. Saviuc, AKA The Purpose Fairy: Here’s the list. I opened the book to the section on Chapter 7 – Give up complaining: I thought for a moment about turning to another page but realised that this was meant to be the subject of todays blog, to have some faith in life. Luminita likes quotes, as I do and here is the one that opens the chapter:

People who never achieve happiness are the ones who complain

whenever they’re awake, and whenever they’re asleep.

they are thinking about that to complain about tomorrow – Adam Zimbler

So how do tyou say don’t complain 15 different ways – let’s have a look:

complain1.jpeg

1. My friends and I tried this for 30 days once, the furtherest anyone made it was 5 days, and they were probably lying.

complain2

2. We are the creators of our lives, when we are complaining about it, not many candles burning: Candlelight.

complain3

3. Warm Fuzzy Feeling, reminds me of lolly gobble bliss bombs, an Australian snack food released in the seventies. Lolly Gobble Bliss Bombs were known for their colourful packaging, which featured surreal psychedelic artwork, reminiscent of Peter Max, Robert Crumb or The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers.

complain4

4. I would love the time back from the things I have complained about in my life that truthfully I could not change: Changes.

complain5

5. You love, You appreciate, that makes you smile , That ……….

complain6

6. There are people we remember because they did things to make wrongs right: Martin, Nelson, Malala: Join them or become quiet: Try Everything.

complain7

7. Is cursing showing you have a lesser use of your total vocabulary, I think so in this situation.

complain8

8. My Essence for this quarter in my year long Activation program is Acceptance, if happiness is thrown in I will be stoked: Happy.

complain9

9. Katrina Mayer earned a doctorate in metaphysics from the American Institute of Holistic Theology. She is a writer, motivational speaker, corporate executive, and an ordained interfaith minister. The author of The Mustard Seed Way,she lives on the north shore of Long Island, New York.

complain10.jpeg

10. The spirits have spoken: new world paradigm – a transformed world: Yesterday.
complain11
11. They say we choose when we decide to become a human being. Why do so many people forget the total gift this is?
complain12
12. Mathematically, the 80/20 rule is roughly followed by a power law distribution (also known as a Pareto distribution) for a particular set of parameters, and many natural phenomena have been shown empirically to exhibit such a distribution: Tim Ferriss 80/20 principle.
complain13
13. Robin Sharma, The Monk who sold his Ferrari points to one solution, don’t sleep as long , you have 24 hours in the day the same as everybody else, use it so it works.
complaint14
14. As a proofreader I can’t believe it when people misspell words and actually print things, is that a complaint: Don’t Speak.
complain15
15. The last time you will ever use these words or thoughts.
If you took one-tenth of the energy you put into complaining
and applied it to solving the problem, you’d be surprised
by how well things can work out… Complaining does not work
as a strategy. We all have finite time and energy. Anytime we
spend whining is unlikely to help us achieve our goals.
And it won’t make us happier – Randy Pausch
The music today – Bollywood, Bowie, That Happy Song, a chat from Tim Ferriss, and a few pop divas, enjoy.
