I have not seen the Southern Cross or the Milky Way for a while, this gives away I live in the Southern Hemisphere on our beautiful planet. Seeing that belt of billions of stars put into perspective how large this universe really is, and we are merely one of thousand’s of galaxies.

So why did they put us here alone as is the current scientific belief and what is our purpose, in fact, your purpose in the Universe.

Let’s go on that journey:

uni1

1. Talking to the stars doesn’t do it, It makes for a nice date, but it gets very little done.

uni2

2. The insights of Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī aka Rumi have helped empower the human race for centuries, here’s a little question from him to you : Poetry in Motion

uni3

3. And an insight that supports the universal statement that we are all Starseed.

uni4.jpeg

4. One of the subjects we spend billions of dollars on in courses books therapists, can I really trust anyone, let alone myself: Trust.

uni5

5. In 2004, bad boy Billy Fingers Cohen, a homeless small-time drug dealer and addict in a state of drug-induced euphoria ran into a busy intersection and was killed instantly by a speeding automobile. He left behind a grieving sister. For weeks she struggled with grief and tried to make sense of Billy’s seemingly wasted life and tragic death.

A few weeks after his death, William Cohen, aka Billy Fingers, woke his sister Annie at dawn. ‘I’m drifting weightlessly through these glorious stars and galaxies and I feel a Divine Presence, a kind, loving beneficent presence, twinkling all around me.’

Billy’s ongoing after-death communications take his sister on an unprecedented journey into the bliss and wonder of life beyond death. Billy’s profound, detailed description of the mystical realms he traverses, the Beings of Light that await him, and the wisdom he receives take the reader beyond the near-death experience. Billy is, indeed, as Dr. Raymond Moody points out in his foreword, explaining the phenomena we’ve known about since ancient times, an afterworld walker.

uni6

6. Yes, you. Those negative thoughts are just wake up calls. Out of the pj’s on with the clothes and let’s rock it: You are a Child of the Universe.

uni7

7. I’ll let you work this one out, Buddha was and is a dude. here are nine values places on him, Recollection of nine virtues attributed to the Buddha is a common Buddhist meditation and devotional practice called Buddhānusmṛti. The nine virtues are also among the 40 Buddhist meditation subjects. The nine virtues of the Buddha appear throughout the Tipitaka, and include:

Buddha – Awakened
Sammasambuddho – Perfectly self-awakened
Vijja-caranasampano – Endowed with higher knowledge and ideal conduct.
Sugato – Well-gone or Well-spoken.
Lokavidu – Wise in the knowledge of the many worlds.
Anuttaro Purisa-damma-sarathi – Unexcelled trainer of untrained people.
Satthadeva-Manussanam – Teacher of gods and humans.
Bhagavathi – The Blessed one
Araham – Worthy of homage. An Arahant is “one with taints destroyed, who has lived the holy life, done what had to be done, laid down the burden, reached the true goal, destroyed the fetters of being, and is completely liberated through final knowledge.”

8. Anyone studying the philosophy of the Universal facts knows the name of Alan Watts, the great interpreter of eastern philosophy : Why Life is not a journey!!

uni9

9. Yes, you are that important, every minuscule moment of the day.

uni10

10. Here are those stars I mentioned before in their grandeur. We’ll come looking for you in a little while.

uni11

11. That sweet soul music of your heart, they can hear it on that planet to the left of Alpha Centauri.

uni12

12. Even down the highway to hell would satisfy me : Highway to Hell.

uni13

13. Tom Jones called it The Green, Green , Grass of Home. You have one patch you can make bootiful, look in the mirror.

uni14

14. I shudder at the power of this statement by Eckhart Tolle, did you realise you were a miracle: You make Loving Fun.

uni15

15. And a scientific fact for those moments you feel alone in the big, big universe we all exist as part of.

I didn’t mention where I got the idea for the blog today, from Gabbie Bernstein’s fine book : The Universe Has Your Back.

Don’t waste a good Mistake!!

I have been reading a business development book written by Jack De Losa called Unprofessional. I have learned so much from it and after putting it down last night I thought about what sources I learn from these days and what were the ones I learned from during my previous  61 years.

I suppose the first I remember is Enid Blyton, an iconic English children’s writer who has sold over 600 million books, who has been accused of being elitist, sexist and racist in our more enlightened times but her books always had a high moralistic value that appealed to me.

How do you learn in these days of instant gratification? Do you Google it? Are you an  old school radio and print media fan? Let’s  have a look at how the world looks at it:

learn1

1. Three very important ways to look at learning, how many of them do you utilize?

learn2

2. There is a saying the day that you stop learning is the day you begin to die, I think that’s what Robert is referring to : It takes two to Tango.

learn3

3. I was often referred to as a curious child, I’m not sure which definition they were referring to: eager to know or learn something or strange; unusual.

learn4

4. We all come out with the same amount of knowledge, then it is up to our guardians to ensure that we attain a level of understanding that makes us a worthy human being: Absolute Beginners.

learn5

5. Sometimes I think whoever invented the examination system of schooling never learned this in their own education.

learn6

6. Check out Bill Cosby’s look in this clip : Reeling in the Years. My mum is 89 and still an avid reader.

learn7

7. His work includes several of the most popular children’s books of all time, selling over 600 million copies and being translated into more than 20 languages by the time of his death.

learn8

8. I wish I had known this acronym back in the day of my formal education. Called into the office and told not to come back because I hated it and never used to go: Feet , don’t fail me Now!

learn9

9. Gratitude is one of the great learning traditions, in Melbourne Australia, my home town, we have an FB page : Daily Gratitude Space. Join us and contribute what you have learned.

learn10

10. What a beautiful quote, live full out, learn like you were eternal : Eternal Flame.

learn11

11. Love my Lao Tzu, Confucious – Guess Who?

learn12

12. From the world’s most famous quotes author, The distinguished Anon. Get on the Unstoppable train : Unstoppable.

learn13

13. They say that it will keep occurring until you learn the lesson it/they have been sent to teach you. Yes, Life never stops teaching!!

learn14

14. It’s always an idea to do something with the learning, or it is really an obsolete practice: Do it like a Dude.

learn15

15. There is that part of learning we often try to ignore and wish that it would go away, guess what it doesn’t and yes, they happened as part of our learning.

Being alive puts you in the daily learning academy, do you resist the lessons or grow from this ever expanding life you have been given.

Namaste until next time my dear friends.

Build from the Inside Out!!

I was going to write on creating today but when I looked up creation quotes to use they seem to have been hijacked by religious factions. So I read a bit about creation in my Activation Program manual and got to see that it was based on a strong foundation and thought that it was appropriate to  check that out.

There are apparently two major meanings of which I will discuss the latter, here they are:

  1. the lowest load-bearing part of a building, typically below ground level.
  2. an underlying basis or principle.

I try to live my life with some form of foundation to it, there are times though I sometimes slip up at it. Let’s have a look at the foundation our lives are based on:

foundation1

1. Trees are a great example of why it is a good reason to work on your foundations in life, Not every tree survives that flurry of seeds that fall from their parent tree each seeding season.

foundation2

2. It takes two to tango. This includes the twin areas of the mind and the heart, the emotional and the physical. One does not function on their own without the other being in a health state as well: Solid Rock.

foundation3

3. Vernest’s ethos in life is Living to make a difference at my own pace. To do this you must fully understand and have built a solid foundation.

foundation4

4. This is a great question by Arthur. I put the question into Google: How many years has the world been at peace without a war. This is the answer it came up with: Of the past 3,400 years, humans have been entirely at peace for 268 of them or just 8 percent of recorded history: Give Peace a Chance.

foundation5

5. What does it take to build a powerful foundation you can build the journey and successes in your life? A little if not a lot of this may be a powerful part of the recipe.

foundation6

6. Still, my favorite moments in the Mad Max trilogy is the performance of Tina and her interpretation of We don’t need another Hero.

foundation7

7. The only good thing complaining does is convince other people you are not in control, go 24 hours without complaining (Not even Once) Then watch how your life starts changing.

foundation8

8. Our foundation for our future belongs to our children, build them a worthwhile one: Live your Life.

foundation9

9. We must love our friends as well as our self.

foundation10

10. What word do you use when something goes wrong in your life? I prefer the latter: Scars.

foundation11

11. A great image to depict the importance of a solid foundation in life, the quote from Alfred is pretty good too.

foundation12

12. A man who took the meaning of building your life on a solid foundation. Bruce Lee’s system, Jeet Kune Do, revolved around a central theme – absorb what is useful, discard what is useless. He spent his whole life working on his foundation to improve his craft. It seems Bollywood love Bruce Lee, they made a movie about him: Bruce Lee – The Fighter.

foundation13

13. Even 2,400 years ago they were discussing in the state of ancient Greece what foundations were needed to support society. Where did they go wrong?

foundation14

14. Francis de Sales, (French: François de Sales; 21 August 1567 – 28 December 1622) was a Bishop of Geneva and is honored as a saint in the Roman Catholic Church. He became noted for his deep faith and his gentle approach to the religious divisions in his land resulting from the Protestant Reformation. He is known also for his writings on the topic of spiritual direction and spiritual formation, particularly the Introduction to the Devout Life and the Treatise on the Love of God: Lonely Island.

foundation15

15. A newscaster in the United States, David Brinkley, once ran for vice president, here are the results: In 1972 Vice President Spiro Agnew was re-nominated with 1,345 votes, against one vote for television journalist David Brinkley and two abstentions. The NBC network, for which Brinkley worked, had some “Brinkley for Vice President” buttons made, which the news team wore as a joke.

So we have said over the history of time that foundations are important, How much time do you give to working on yours?

Namaste until next time, my dear friends.

Surrender to What Is!!

I am currently reading Gabrielle Bernstein’s new book The Universe has Your Back. In it, she talks a lot about faith, not necessarily Gods faith but faith in the universe and each other. Here’s a link to her page, she is one of the new thought leaders:  Gabby’s page.  What do you have faith in, your friends and families love, that it will all work out, that something will save you? There are many options so let’s have a look at some of them.

faith1

1. With faith comes fear, with the light the dark, I have worked more on the fear and the dark using a method called renewal recently, it has moved me from my head to my heart. Here’s a link to its source: www.activationschool.com.

faith2

2. I went to a catch up with the graduates of a program I crew on called GRIT: Create the Life you Want and Emeli Paulo , the facilitator led us through a process that got you in contact with your soul and you took away three gifts. here’s info on the program, GRIT – Find your Purpose.

faith3

3. Breathwork, the way out of your head into your heart and soul.

faith4

4. The power and the passion, both you cannot see. But you can certainly feel it: Power and the Passion.

faith5

5. I know when my heart is not seeing the light, it feels constricted. A bit more difficult with my eyes, because my logical mind believes what I see is real.

faith6

6. This beautiful image is the closest to God’s version of faith, George Michaels beautiful song expresses it well: Faith.

faith7

7. Faith and God, what else could you talk about but the iconic book A Course in Miracles : ACIM.

faith8

8. haven’t had a dog and cat quote for a while, but Aaw isn’t he cute. How many people have covered this song, the Stones and Iggy have: Walking the Dog.

faith9

9. I love Kundalini Dance, a journey to cleanse the chakras, one night you dance blindfolded for two and a half hours. In a crowded room you dance by faith and do not crash into each other.

faith10

10. Sir James Matthew Barrie, 1st Baronet, OM (9 May 1860 – 19 June 1937) was a Scottish novelist and playwright, best remembered today as the creator of Peter Pan. He was born and educated in Scotland but moved to London, where he wrote a number of successful novels and plays. There he met the Llewelyn Davies boys, who inspired him to write about a baby boy who has magical adventures in Kensington Gardens (included in The Little White Bird), then to write Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up, a “fairy play” about an ageless boy and an ordinary girl named Wendy who have adventures in the fantasy setting of Neverland: Flying.

faith11

11. Another way of saying the past, the present and the future, I find this method a bit more powerful.

faith12

12. One of the first blues songs I ever heard was Stormy Monday all those years ago in Blum’s records in Bendigo when the sales girl who loved blues used to tell the manager we gawky schoolboys had asked to hear it. It wasn’t this version, but I love Eva Cassidy’s take on it: Stormy Monday.

faith13

13. I fill out my Desire Map journal by Danielle LaPorte every day. As it has you write your Core desired feelings for your life, what you are avoiding , and what you are grateful for as well as what you are going to do to access what you want to feel it is what keeps me going on the days I don’t want to : The Daily Planner

faith14

14. With our logical mind being so skilful at making up real stories about what happened, this is not as easy to do as it seems: Have a little Faith in Me.

faith15

15. We all have big dreams, how come they often don’t look like we have imagined, keep on dreaming, though.

I think faith is also closely aligned with the community, the more the merrier, the stronger the faith.

Namaste until next time , my dear friends

I am a leaf on the Wind!!

One of the things I have wanted to do my whole life is fly unaided. I tried gliding, hang-gliding, parachuting but they were all too noisy. I wish to float in the clouds like an eagle, silently looking down on the planet as I soar over it.

Birds do not see the borders we have made up for the planet, when they fly thousands of miles to return to their nesting sites from their wintering grounds they do not require a passport to cross the imaginary lines we have drawn on the planet. That is the freedom of soaring, the word that most fulfils my desire to fly.

Soaring is defined as  soaring to fly or rise high in the air: “the bird spread its wings and soared into the air” ·, “when she heard his voice, her spirits soared” synonyms: fly up · wing · wing its way · take off · take flight ·

So lets have a look at what the world has said about soaring :

soar1

A. W. Tozer was a  American Christian pastor, preacher, author, magazine editor, and spiritual mentor. For his work, he received two honorary doctoral degrees.

Tozer had seven children: six boys and one girl. Living a simple and non-materialistic lifestyle, he and his wife, Ada Cecelia Pfautz, never owned a car, preferring bus and train travel. Even after becoming a well-known Christian author, Tozer signed away much of his royalties to those who were in need. Sean Lucas has commented on a biography of Tozer by Lyle Dorsett. He said “Dorsett exposes a fundamental contradiction in Tozer’s character that raises all sorts of questions about holy zeal and its effect on the whole of life. The contradiction could be summed up: how did Tozer reconcile his passionate longing for communion with  God with his failure to love passionately his wife and children? Perhaps the most damning statement in the book was from his wife, after she remarried subsequent to his death: “I have never been happier in my life,” Ada Ceclia Tozer Odam observed, “Aiden [Tozer] loved Jesus Christ, but Leonard Odam loves me”.

soar2

2. One of the parts of the recipe of soaring is looked at in this quote, the essential ingredient of Self Love: Feeling Myself.

soar3

3. Love this powerful quote by Anne Bronte, the lesser known of the Bronte literary family. Her second novel, The tenant of Wildfell Hall, considered the first feminist novel was prevented by her sister Charlotte being re published after her death.

soar4

4. How often do you soar above the clouds? : Eagle Flying.

soar5

5. Don’t you love those nature documentaries where young birds take their first attempts at flying, often they fail, but they never give up.

soar6

6. I love how eagles and albatrosses soar in the sky high up on their own. It is such a powerful statement about this is my life and I’m creating it: It’s my Life.

soar7

7. Don’t you love those moments when life clicks and whatever it throws at you you feel like you are floating on the timeless winds above those that usually toss you around day by day.

soar8

8. Victor Hugo – Though a committed royalist when he was young, Hugo’s views changed as the decades passed, and he became a passionate supporter of republicanism; his work touches upon most of the political and social issues and the artistic trends of his time. He is buried in the Panthéon. His legacy has been honoured in many ways, including his portrait being placed on French franc banknotes. I don’t really know what his quote means: The Pun Song.

soar9

9. Rufus Wainwright is an American-Canadian singer-songwriter and composer. He has recorded seven albums of original music and numerous tracks on compilations and film soundtracks. He has also written a classical opera and set Shakespeare sonnets to music for a theatre piece by Robert Wilson. Not sure if he is referring to the fae or the fact that he is gay in this cute quote.

soar10

10. Just a little detail, I will never give up on my dream to fly unaided, even if it only in my dreams. Who knows what they will invent on the next few years?: I believe I can Fly.

soar11

11. Who says you can’t be the one, don’t listen to them.

soar12

12. Perhaps I need to befriend Dumbo, he can fly unaided: Dumbo Flies.

soar14

13. There are theories as  babies we have invisible angel wings and they fade as we stop believing in  our ability to soar as we age. Time to reverse the process.

soar16

14. When you locate the Self Love within, you gain the strength to soar: Don’t stop Believing.

soar15

Chetan Bhagat(born 22 April 1974) is an Indian author, columnist, screenwriter, television personality and motivational speaker, known for his English-language dramedy novels about young urban middle-class Indians.A noted public intellectual, Bhagat also writes for columns about youth, career development and current affairs for The Times of India (in English) and Dainik Bhaskar (in Hindi).

Bhagat’s novels have sold over seven million copies. In 2008, The New York Times cited Bhagat as “the biggest selling English language novelist in India’s history”.Bhagat’s screenwriting efforts have included the dramedies Kai Po Che! (2013), 2 States (2014) and the action-superhero movie Kick (2015). He won the Filmfare Award for Best Screenplay for Kai Po Che! at the 59th Filmfare Awards in January 2014. He has definitely flown above the stone throwers in his life.

So how do you choose to soar in your life? What is you desire that equals mine to fly unaided. Please don’t give up on it. That is what is your passion in life.

Namaste until next time, my dear friends.

Does it strike a Chord?

Whats your favourite program? What did you think on reading that? About T.V., radio, the gym. How do you get with the program in your life? In my life I do personal development program , online and Face to Face. Not much of a TV program kind of person, can’t stand the negativity of them all and definitely not a fan of realism TV, I know how to cook and I don’t need to renovate a house or marry a person I just met half an hour ago.

Strangely I have heard people having conversations amongst themselves like the people from these shows are their best friends, this challenges my sense of community participation profoundly.

So lets get with the program and have a look :

program1

1. This program is not great for your health, I tried all three for about ten years ans spent a period of time being looked after by the men in white.

program2

3.  In this “gripping tale for lovers of dystopian romance” , true feelings are forbidden, teen suicide is an epidemic, and the only solution is The Program.

Sloane knows better than to cry in front of anyone. With suicide now an international epidemic, one outburst could land her in The Program, the only proven course of treatment. Sloane’s parents have already lost one child; Sloane knows they’ll do anything to keep her alive. She also knows that everyone who’s been through The Program returns as a blank slate. Because their depression is gone—but so are their memories.

Under constant surveillance at home and at school, Sloane puts on a brave face and keeps her feelings buried as deep as she can. The only person Sloane can be herself with is James. He’s promised to keep them both safe and out of treatment, and Sloane knows their love is strong enough to withstand anything. But despite the promises they made to each other, it’s getting harder to hide the truth. They are both growing weaker. Depression is setting in.

And The Program is coming for them.

4. Have you ever felt like life will swallow you up and you will never come back. I remember we used to play in an old abandoned gold mine in Bendigo and there were times I wanted someone to hold my hand : I want to hold your Hand.

Life Expands Courage!!

Went on an Unleashing retreat on the weekend, it was called Unleashing Ecstasy and we had to have an intention for the weekend. I came up with being totally and completely loved but during the weekend realised that I saw this was only for my good parts, so I added All of it to the intention on  the Saturday evening. I was mildly surprised when I came  down with  a severe cold an hour  later as I thought  intention where meant to illuminate you.

Still have the cold but thought I would have a go at the blog, even thought it’s a day late. What do we do to illuminate our lives on a day to day basis and what has society said about it over the years, Lets have a look:

illuminate1.png

1. Crying has a bad rap and attracts much undeserved criticism  and unrequested support as there is something obviously wrong with you if you are crying, its just an emotion as is smiling.

illuminate2.jpg

2. Dorothy Thompson (9 July 1893 – 30 January 1961) was an American journalist and radio broadcaster, who in 1939 was recognized by Timemagazine as the second most influential woman in America next to Eleanor Roosevelt. She is notable as the first American journalist to be expelled from Nazi Germany in 1934 and as one of the few women news commentators on radio during the 1930s. She is regarded by some as the “First Lady of American Journalism.” : Turn on the Lights

illuminate3

3. They are waiting for you to illuminate your light, your friends and the rest of the world.

illuminate4

4. I like reading books like this, that talk about triumphing over the dark side : Don’t stop believing.

illumiate5

5. Ralph Waldo Emerson (May 25, 1803 – April 27, 1882), known professionally as Waldo Emerson, was an American essayist, lecturer, and poet who led the Transcendentalist movement of the mid-19th century. He was seen as a champion of individualism and a prescient critic of the countervailing pressures of society, and he disseminated his thoughts through dozens of published essays and more than 1,500 public lectures across the United States.

illuminate6

6. And Pharrell Williams wrote a song about this: Happy.

Illuminate7

7. Stop searching for it out there, Big houses and Ferraris don’t bring you happiness, though  some may disagree with this.  It’s the inner journey where the answer lies.

Illuminate8

8. Jaeda is a self-taught photographic artist and poet. In “real life” she is a private, solitary and reclusive creature. She loves unraveling the mysteries of the human spirit. She creates self-portraits, dreamscapes, survivor art, spiritual art, sensual art and figurative.

Images . . . poetry . . .words . . .they can offer us a feeling, an experience and the magical gift of transport.

I want my imagery to give people a way to express themselves, to offer them a moment of magic and wonder, I desire to ignite their imagination, emotions and give them a sense of connection: Black and White Emotions.

Illuminate9

9. Sometimes we need to do this to illuminate what is important in our lives.

Illuminate10

10. Possibly one of the most recognised quotes about getting off your bum and doing it: I want to break free.

illuminate12

11. A question if answered that will always illuminate your life if the answer is No.

Illuminate12

12. There are 7,000,000,000 different normalities on the planet, I don’t think it can be: Lights.

Illuminate13

13. If it light you up you are illuminated.

Illuminate15

15. On the weekend I mentioned we spent a lot of time delving into the essence of giving and receiving Love. Our willingness to love the dark bits is just as important as the happy bits.

To me it takes courage to seek what illuminates your life, thank you to all the people who are on this journey at the moment.
