The Best of the best

It is 12:01am in Naarm/Melbourne, exactly a year after I wrote my last blog. the day I promised I would return to the airwaves with my meanderings about Life at I am an Interculturalist. Even though I wrote only one blog in 2022, It was visited by 3.598 visitors for 4,899 views in 120 countries China being the 6th highest readership. smashing down the firewalls that say no to freedom, That is what comes from having 4.8 million words floating around the airwaves about possibility, people are dying for it.

I used to write a top ten influencers on the airwaves every year, then along came Covid and Cest la vie, and this practice ceased.

So once again, I make my offering to the ether of the universal airwaves. My top ten, congratulations to the finalists, I do not rate you one to ten, but honour you for the difference you make to the planet with your modalities.

I am going, to begin with, the Australian contingent, of which there are five, go you good things, we make up 50 per cent of the best offerings on the world wide web. In no order:

Dane Tomas: The Dark Wizard of the Australian Conscious Movement. Ex Rapper, entrepreneur, and Creator of distinctions galore. Why I have included Dane is that I am jealous of his I don’t give a fuck, let’s get something done attitude, something our beautiful community of First World Problematic wanna-be gods and goddesses sorely lack, including myself.

I have made chai for my beautiful friend Phoenix for the past six years. She is the holder of the Dancing Freedom modality, which is based on the elements. The session is in three parts. The transformational bit where Phoenix allows you to get in touch with the energy of Mother Earth through her words Then there is the dancing bit, where you get to feel better about yourself for two days listening to the best-compiled music, check it out over on Mixcloud under WhiteCalf, you will never have to spend a dollar on purchasing dance music again. Then there is my bit, The drinking of Chai, caffeine free of course, we can’t have people drinking black tea chai at 10.30 at night, can we. This is the part where you get to follow up those lustful thoughts about that person on the dance floor because you can actually speak to them, as the dance floor is a silent space. I intend to retire Phoenix from the practice of the music, she has trained enough goddesses to do the dance bit, but none of them has the power of her voice.

Sigourney Belle Weldon is someone I have never met in real life. But I know she will have made a profound difference in my life every time I read her powerful words, Her latest offering is called Holly Wealth, it will be profound as all the rest of her work has been.

I have recently begun volunteering at this simple man’s organisation, the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre in Naarm/Melbourne. Yes, we provide them with basics like food, health and legal assistance. But what we really do, is return the dignity that was stolen from them by governments of both ilks in our country when they created the disgusting distinction, of boat people. If you have a spare million dollars to donate to a worthy cause, tax-deductible of course, check out our ASRC website, there is a link there, we accept any currency.

I did not know this remarkable woman six months ago. We became FB friends and she taught me to laugh again with her posts. To say she is a genius at it is a gross understatement. All of you other thought leaders on this list, I ask that you throw everything you have got at her. Ally is only beginning her journey, but she is going to be magnificent. I think Ally only has a personal Facebook page, so Ally, when you start receiving Facebook friend requests from Iceland and St, Kitts, the most expensive tourist island in the West Indies, don’t be concerned, they are from the same DNA as us.

Now we head overseas and meet Marc and Angel Chernoff, two university lovebirds out of Florida. Without a doubt the best list creators on the planet, Yes I have regularly stolen them to include in my blogs so I look smarter than the average bunny. Their books are sensational, Google their name and you will find a link.

Out of Canada, meet Danielle LaPorte, creator of the Desire Map and other classics. I used to buy her planner each and every year, the postage was more than the cost of the planner, but it was worth it for the little vignettes lying within. Danielle has lots of free stuff. I wrote an application to become her freelance copywriter recently. I have not had a real job for ten years so my CV was my words, I suppose that is what a copywriter is meant to provide, so,

well and good.

Ex bad boy of the music scene, a lover of the white powder. Mastin created The Daily Love blog, with 800,000 followers, most of who were recognised as of the female variety. Mastin walked away as he knew this was not his true calling, he does the most extraordinary trauma work available.

Luminta, better known as Purpose Fairy, is out of Romania. Also a great creator of lists, but I value her for her authenticity, She has a great giveaway called 15 Things you should give up to be Happy, this is what swept her to fame.

Just a Facebook group I think, I may be wrong, but I know that I reshare each and every one of their offering of possibility.

Creator of the sublime Est Trainings back in the 70s. Werner was crushed by the muggles when they found out what it was providing humanity, It is still around in the much more sanitised form known as the Landmark Forum. Back in the day, it was two weekends, so the trainers half destroyed your identity then back to work for a week to return for the job to be completed, WTF. Werner created all the distinctions that they still use today. If you want a year’s free training in two hours watch his stuff on Youtube, especially on Leadership and Compassion and you will wonder what all the fuss about Tony Robbins and Jordan Peterson is all about, these people are but rank amateurs in his presence.

That is the list, The first slogan I created: It’s up to Us Because We Can, it’s Our time. My ethos in life: Love and Respect for All, Everyone Included.

A distinction for you in regard to Social Media: Facebook is your Vision Board, so do not let anyone shit in its pace, do the work – Byron Katie. Never post on Instagram, there is a trick that does it for you with your Facebook posts. I have never posted on Instagram and have 5,000 followers who love what I post, little do they know, I find Twitter useful to release frustrations, still, the only place you can call Donald Trump a cunt and get away with it, LinkedIn, my new baby is where the big bucks are, you definitely have to do the work, I have gone from a 40 out f 100 rating to 68 and I have only written three of my own posts. My bogan friend Adam Holohan, out of Sydney, where I learnt my superpowers for the cost of one of his books, it only took me 28 months to think, damn, I might give this a try, and spectacular results followed.

All the words, where they come from. I have spent easily $100,000 on trying to feel better about myself over the past 30 years. Imagine my surprise when I woke up after a simple zoom session on the nurturer archetype, which was obviously me, having been the World’s Greatest Volunteer for decades with a hundred thousand dollars of the most profound wisdom lodged in my body, and for the steak knives they had given me a voice, something I had wished for my entire 68-year life, yes I am an old fucker, aka Elder.

See you in the arena of life: I was having a cuppa with Mother Earth the Other day and she was a bit sad. She really didn’t want to write an eviction notice to humanity, she loves our sense of humour.

I will steal one of Dane’s distinctions to close, Peace Out.

I have been told that reviews make a difference. My last one was in 2019. So, I am putting a request out into the WordPress space that I would like some more recent ones.

Here’s a quote and song to keep in practice until relaunch day: January 3. 2023.

Humorous Growing up Meme.

Don’t read my homepage it is boring

Featured

I have noticed that a lot of my recent views have been of my homepage. This is not where the magic and healing occur. Take a few seconds to scroll, down. You never know what you may find.

What happened to Rod and his words.

I used to religiously write two blogs a week, that is how I got to over 700 blogs and 4,000,000 words on possibility and being read in 160 of the 194 countries across the planet.

Let’s go back to January 3, 2022. Why is that date significant? That is when I wrote my last blog. I had a crazy thought that nobody was reading my words even though empirical evidence showed this to be untrue.

I have sat in front of my keyboard many times and nada.

I have just completed my dear friend Clare Elizabeth Dea’s Love and Money course. One result out of it I did not expect was to get my words back, but I frigging did.

I like celebrations so I will write my first official blog on January 3, 2023.

Until then here is a quote and a song to get back in practice..

Imagination belongs to hope. It’s the creative dance of possibility

Here’s a song about possibility:

So I’ll see all of you, my friends across the planet on January 3, 2023.

Passion-play, What lights you Up!!!

We have arrived at that time of the year, The First of the First, and we play the New Year Resolution game. I changed it several years ago to the Passion game. I ask myself this group of questions:

  1. What will you never give up on?
  2. What activities make you lose track of time?
  3. What fascinates you?
  4. What’s something you would do every day if you could?
  5. At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
  6. Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing?
  7. What one thing have you not done that you really want to do? What’s holding you back?
  8. What is something you would hate to go without for a day?
  9. Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing?
  10. What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you?

How do you describe passion? 1. A strong feeling or emotion: He spoke with passion. 2. an object of someone’s love, liking, or desire: Art is my passion. 3. strong liking or desire: love. She has a passion for music.

Passion is actually derived from an Ancient Greek word: πάσχω “to suffer, to be acted on so there have been many a quote on the subject, here are a few over time:

1,

1. How can you place a price tag on passion?

2. From the fastest man in the world at his time, Donovan relates that work comes with passion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8QJmI_V3j4&list=PLuDyQHg9f0ty3NsEZTGuz_PclKIruw6l7&index=33

3. Best known for discovering the wreck of the Titanic when looking for lost nuclear weapons, Robert says it’s about your life, not others.

4. Your passion is not for others, that’s your purpose: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmWBrN7QV6Y&list=PLhXQhpqBNAYsiwGQ6e4rxgbQ0gGVfKZ2u&index=10

5. Then we must always have Oprah’s take on it.

6. Then included in a good passion cake is a modicum of love: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwgr_IMeEgA&list=PLhXQhpqBNAYsiwGQ6e4rxgbQ0gGVfKZ2u&index=15

7. Purpose follows passion, find the former and the latter will follow.

8. Many Passionate choices here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_8ydghbGSg&list=PLhXQhpqBNAYsiwGQ6e4rxgbQ0gGVfKZ2u&index=18

9. Considered the leader most responsible for the Allied victory in WW1 Foch believed that a strong heart won battles not a well trained army.

10. Passion from the start will see you stick it out to the end: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMpFmHSgC4Q&list=PLhXQhpqBNAYsiwGQ6e4rxgbQ0gGVfKZ2u&index=2

11. All the greats placed passion first then went through the purpose and plans to accomplish their ideas.

12. Passion resides in your heart, not your head: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dW6SkvErFEE&list=PLhXQhpqBNAYsiwGQ6e4rxgbQ0gGVfKZ2u&index=6

13. The great Maya Angelou includes passion, along with compassion, humour and style in her life’s mission.

14. The Chief Operating Officer of Meta/Facebook also insists that as part of your passion there must be contribution included: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvI9PuGorwI&list=PLhXQhpqBNAYsiwGQ6e4rxgbQ0gGVfKZ2u&index=19

15. The CEO of Linkedin India closes our session with a profound station on passion.

Inside our passion, we must Think Deeply, Speak Gently, Love Lots, Laugh Often, Work Hard, Give Back, Expect Less, Be Present, Be Kind, Be Honest and Be True to Ourselves. Remember we hold the passion, the others are just our aides.

Today’s playlist is passionate and from the heart: We begin with Sade followed by Lady Gaga. Next is Anda Day, then Demi Lovato. Hailee Steinfeld is the song before the penultimate number by Mumford and Sons and we complete with Rachel Platten; enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJlQ3F9bKYrsRhCOQtEKTUMGpA53C4NID

I am passionate about Interculturalism, I have created an ethos for it: Love and Respect for All, Everybody Included. I have two Facebook groups to spread the ethos around the world: https://www.facebook.com/groups/183421768519278: Interculturalism and https://www.facebook.com/groups/1126100227764949: Thriving People – People who wish to make a difference to humanity. Will a lie protect you from failure or just delay you beginning!!!

Have you ever received awful advice from your supposed friends as you excitedly tell them about your latest adventure? They think they are trying to protect you from the possibility of failure, which, in effect, also shied you from the possibility of making your dream a reality.

Here are a few ill-advised tips (lies) people will likely tell you when you decide to pursue your dreams, and why they are dreadfully mistaken.

  1. You can follow your dreams someday, but right now you need to buckle down and be responsible.
  2. You are totally screwed if it doesn’t work out.
  3. It’s safer to stay at your day job.
  4. That’s impossible.
  5. Only a lucky few “make it”.
  6. You might fail and failing is bad.
  7. You will sacrifice too much for too little.
  8. You need more money saved before you take the first step.
  9. You don’t need any help. It’s smarter to go after it alone.
  10. That sounds like a lot of hard work.

All supposed good advice but in the end white lies. Only you can take the steps that fulfil your dreams. And what has society said about the cost of a lie over time. Here are a few of my favourite quotes:

1. Lord Byron, one of the best-known poets had an unusual death for a creative. He died fighting in the Greek War of Independence.

2. What came first, the chicken or the egg:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYEDA3JcQqw&list=PLyORnIW1xT6wzupDsoAlmcLoeYEOumvfZ

3. Being open is what starts the transformation.

4. If the numbers don’t add up, the truth is missing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpQFFLBMEPI&list=PLyORnIW1xT6wzupDsoAlmcLoeYEOumvfZ&index=7

5. Trust seems to be the issue here.

6. Deal with the permanence seems to be the answer:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCkpzqqog4k&list=PLyORnIW1xT6wzupDsoAlmcLoeYEOumvfZ&index=8

7.In telling the truth you do not have to remember it, because it’s true.

8. You are not being creative, you are still lying: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6tXqFp-mnM&list=PLyORnIW1xT6wzupDsoAlmcLoeYEOumvfZ&index=9

9. I would rather deal with your true opinions than your white lies.

10. Is a lie an attempt to hide a feeling of embarrassment?:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzeWc3zh01g&list=PLyORnIW1xT6wzupDsoAlmcLoeYEOumvfZ&index=15

11. Pass out the tissues.

12. Says it all really: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DksSPZTZES0&list=PLyORnIW1xT6wzupDsoAlmcLoeYEOumvfZ&index=16

13. The POTUS quote for this blog makes me doubt it’s veracity.

14. The lies we tell ourselves are probably the reasons we put up with others: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbJNkH-pDd8&list=PLyORnIW1xT6wzupDsoAlmcLoeYEOumvfZ&index=25.

15. Because a lie must be remembered for ever so you can tell it again.

So in writing this blog I have come to the decision that the only option is to gather a tribe of truthtellers around you and deal with the consequences of this. Hopefully you have done this in some form or another.

Today’s playlist is modern in nature beginning with two Pop Diva’s Adele and Pink. Sam Smith breaks up the women with Elizabeth Young and Billie Ellish following. The penultimate track is Justin Timberlake and we finish with The Black Eyed Peas, Enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJlQ3F9bKYrsBV-7gSv-r5uyd0oJ2eKSZ

Living in the world of no lies is not easy as is creating a world wide ethos of Love and Respect for All, Everybody Included. That’s why I have created two Facebook groups: Interculturalism: https://www.facebook.com/groups/183421768519278 and Thriving People – People who wish to make a difference to humanity: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1126100227764949. If you are reading this I would love you to join one or both to help spread it around the world.

Until we meet again my dear friends.

Has COVID mandated Dislike of people who used to be friends.

I am not an anti vaccer, this is because as a young child to be kept alive I received quite a lot of vaccines and accepted that you had to take things that you may not like but were in the end good for you. Another term I heard recently regarding this area was Pro-choice which I thought related to the abortion movement, or it did in the seventies.

I have seen people posting via social media utter nonsense, that horse medicine is better than vaccines, that COVID is an international plot and the purpose of the vaccine is to put a microchip in you. If someone started a conversation about these subjects I would have to request that they stop as I am far too logical to listen to it.

What upsets me is that in these hard times I have heard of cases where people have written off friendships because we agree to disagree. Nobody gets through life without losing someone they love, someone they need, or something they thought was meant to be. Here are some lessons we have learnt over these painful times:

  1. You are not what happened to you in the past.
  2. Focus on what you have, not on what you don’t.
  3. Struggling with problems is a natural way of growing.
  4. It’s OK to fall apart for a little while.
  5. Life is fragile, sudden, and shorter than it often seems.
  6. Emotionally separate yourself from your problems.
  7. Don’t make a problem bigger than it is.
  8. View every challenge as an educational assignment.
  9. Things change, but the sun always rises the next day.
  10. Giving up and moving on are two different things.
  11. Perfect relationships don’t exist.
  12. You must love yourself too.
  13. Don’t let others make decisions for you.
  14. Resentment hurts them, not you.
  15. Consciously nurture your inner hope.
  16. It’s better to be hurt by the truth than comforted by a lie.
  17. Not getting what you want can be a blessing.
  18. Laughter is the best medicine for stress.
  19. Worrying is literally a waste of energy.
  20. Even when it’s hard to move, take small steps forward.
  21. You are better off without some people you thought you needed.
  22. You are only competing against yourself.
  23. Life is not easy.
  24. Your future is unwritten.
  25. You are not trapped, you just need to relearn a few things.
  26. Everything in life is two-sided.
  27. You always have a choice.
  28. Let others in when you are in a dark place.
  29. If you ask negative questions , you will get negative answers.
  30. The end is a new beginning.

This is not the first time that disagreements like this have happened over time, I’m sure there are quotes over the decades that discussed this dilemma, lets have a look:

1. I is not worth going over the limit if you know their opinion is different to yours.

The Third POTUS, Thomas may be where the saying don’t talk about religion or politics came from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0r1AJMK79g

3. Mahatma used this principle to free a country.

4. We take it that friendly disagreement is progressing our friendships: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpqV3dzYOgk

5. Remember those school debates, you had to debate what you didn’t agree with at times.

6. Talking about the dreaded workplace disagreements: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x34icYC8zA0

7. One of my favourite actors with a very wise statement.

8. Repeat after me……..: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JiVb8xizRXU

9. This one’s a smack in the face.

10. The stability get checked at the eye of the storm: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5vHWJhVvI4

11. Eugenia is an inspirational writer and poet. I believe this quote relates to her second book of poetry “Take a step right now towards your dreams“.

12. This is what I hope happens as COVID disappears into the distance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Py8OWAMkns

13. This profound piece of wisdom comes from an English cricketer if you believe Wikipedia.

14.There is a word for someone who is never wrong – Its a narcissist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3wKzyIN1yk

15.And for our final lesson, we look at the action versus the practice.

So from writing this, I have come to the solution that we can disagree to disagree but we do not need to give up our friendships.

Today’s playlist has two of my favourite songs on it, I will let you guess which one’s. We begin with 2 pop legends:John Legend and Shakira. Three lesser known groups and artists follow: Erasure, Prince Mpfarutsa and Bliss and Eso. The penultimate track is Carrie Underwood and we finish with Rag and Bone Man: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJlQ3F9bKYrt9dG5wUc1bJ9E1_DkZkEow

COVID has tested my ethos of Love and Respect for All, Everybody Included, but I have set up two Facebook groups to help with the spread of it: Interculturalism – https://www.facebook.com/groups/183421768519278 and Thriving People – People who wish to make a difference to Humanity: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1126100227764949. Whereever you are in the world reading this, I invite you to join our merry bands of travelers.

Until we net again, my dear friends.

What you tell your younger self!!!

Have you ever written yourself advice in the past or the future. I have done both several times at different periods in my life, the first being in our counter-culture English teachers class in High School. I came across a list a friend wrote recently and feel it has some great advice as it was written around the same time in his life. It was for his future self to his younger self.

  1. Your thirties, forties and fifties won’t feel like your thirties, forties and fifties.
  2. Bad things will happen to you and your friends.
  3. Everyone can make a huge difference.
  4. First impressions aren’t all they’re cracked up to be.
  5. Big results come when you narrow your focus.
  6. Love yourself. Become your own priority.
  7. Sometimes you just have t go for it.
  8. In order to get, you have to give.
  9. Not much is worth fighting about.
  10. Don’t try to impress everyone.
  11. Keep having fun.
  12. Keep it simple.
  13. Little things stick with you.
  14. Keep your opinions to yourself.
  15. Manage your time.
  16. Manage your money.
  17. What you learn in school does matter.
  18. Dreams will remain dreams forever if you don’t take action.

What he did different was he interviewed his father who at the time was in his early 50’s. So what have we as a human race said about sage advice for the future, let’s have a look:

1. Three values for a bright, bright future.

2. Mahatma used this ethos to free a country for foreign rule: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RYNED5p2EY

3. If we do this every day we will have a lot of personal gratitude in our lives.

4. How’s the book of your life coming along: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1d4r9awjKE&list=PL0msuI7SJDFfd2BRR9rOYWF5X9NGlcVXW

5. And Serena is one of a few people who would have the money to even consider this.

6. Make mistakes, this is what you learn from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6rP-YP4c5I

7. Written by the famous Ms Anon, this fits with if you never lie you don’t have to remember anything.

8. Haven’t included a quote by a POTUS for a while, this is a great one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqolSvoWNck

9. To be great you will have to go in every direction, some that even you may not give yourself permission.

10. The future is really up to you to create, so do it well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dm9Zf1WYQ_A

11. If you do good deeds throughout your life, you will not need campaigns, etc, etc.

12. Hard to believe the wisdom of Forrest Gump is 30 years old: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0yFOupUkKQ&list=PLq_6wXJhooZNrHqOq-PLaEQ-VFpgtNc4V&index=14

13. Evangelist Billy Graham talks a lot about faith, this quote is very poignant.

14. Take the suggestions but begin the journey: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vP4iY1TtS3s

15. What are you writing for yours?

So this made me think about advice my parents had given me over the years and the times I ignored them. As my friend said, looking back they were right most of the time. This is one of the gifts of eldership.

For today’s playlist we begin with one of my favourite Australian singer/songwriters Anne McCue. Then the second Elvis, Elvis Costello. Three fine female singers follow: Shakira, Marilyn Monroe and Billie Ellish. The penultimate song is a 60’s classic by Scott McKenzie and we finish with Martin Luther King: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJlQ3F9bKYrt4bcuSvPP1abdV9OUkpqgs

Supporting, guiding and making contributions to other people is one of life’s greatest rewards. Everything you do comes around. Who knows what our futures will be, all I know that mine will include spreading Love and Respect for All, Everybody Included. I have set the plan in place through my two Facebook groups: Thriving People – People who wish to make a difference to humanity: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1126100227764949 and Interculturalism: https://www.facebook.com/groups/183421768519278. You are cordially invited to join one or both of these groups as the more supporting this ethos the merrier.

Until we meet again, my dear friends.

Do you listen to your Heart or your Head?

I had a coaching session with my friend Lou today and as per usual she asked me what was showing up and what would I like to work on today. We have been in lock-down for over 200 days in my state of Victoria in the last year and I was feeling it today so I stated that I felt a little empty inside especially in my hands. We did some exercises and I noticed that I was forming fists of anger instead of contacting my heart to resolve the issue of what was having me feel this way.

When do we go in the direction of our heads ILO our hearts to resolve matters of the body. Often I do it when life has pushed me over, when really it’s time to stand up and push back even harder. Where there is a fork in the road and choices to make, make the ones your future self will thank you for. Today, start:

  1. Choosing you.
  2. Appreciating what you have.
  3. Believing in yourself and your dreams.
  4. Being positive.
  5. Taking action.
  6. Letting go.
  7. Picking yourself back up.
  8. Ignoring negative people.
  9. Staying in touch with close friends and family.
  10. Making time for fun.
  11. Spreading love and kindness.
  12. Being the change you want to see in the world.

So what has society said about listening to the heart over the centuries, let’s have a look:

1. Advice Pocahontas gave to the invaders of her land.
